Excellent replacement to an underwhelming DAP
Having struggled to โget onโ with a shanling M5s I took the punt on this. After seeing glowing reviews on John Darkos YouTube channel I took the plunge. I couldnโt be happier. It is my new audio and video player which has WiFi capability. I use an iPhone X for my day to day but this V30 beats it all day long. I picked it up for ยฃ150 new and Iโm very happy with my purchase

LG V30 much prefer LG-G3
regret buying this phone, much prefer the earlier LG-G3 despite lower spec. more user friendly as a phone.

Great value for an excellent smartphone
Great phones with a good price. For two second hand phones, they were in pristine condition. One of the charging cables was the wrong type but that was promptly rectified.

Amazing android phone all-round
great spec phone, packaged perfectly, delivered promptly, granted it's a lot more expensive than i'd usually spend on a phone but the spec meets the asking price to be honest. Only small complaint i've heard from anyone online is that the back is so smooth and slick that it's scratch prone, but a phone this expensive warrants a case really anyway, so the back won't get scratches either then.

Mobile music perfection
Literally the best phone ever made. The quad DAC will melt your ears off (in a good way) when listening to music with good quality headphones. Reason to buy alone.

Solid phone.
I have been using this phone for about a week and i must say it is an impressive hardware. Without a doubt one of the best phones i have ever owned that delivers its promise of high quality video and sound on the go. All apps run extremely smooth with no signs of stutter or lag at all. The phone itself feels really light but you definitely can notice it is build to last. Great quality when you hold it and the frame as well; pretty much everything you can touch feels durable and definitely solid. The only thing that i notice is that it won't allow me to make software updates without connecting to Wi-Fi. Not sure why that is set up this way but i was unable to find a way to download its software updates with a cellular network. But it doesn't give me any trouble downloading anything else. Needless to say, i recommend this phone greatly. As for those who enjoy games like me it pretty much plays everything the mobile game market has to offer and can even support gaming alongside streaming flawlessly. No lag or issues. The only thing that could go bad is if you have bad network connection. Kudos to LG for building an incredible phone that serves as a noteworthy competitor among the other popular mobile titans out there. They really stepped up this time and i hope they continue improving.

Not fully ATT compatible and misses ATT's primary LTE band 17
i had an lg g6 that went to my daughter for her birthday that worked beautifully on ATT when at home. this v30 US998 version is supposedly compatible with ATT when checking on multiple sites, they all say it is, but 17 is ATT's primary LTE band and this phone does not support it. now it is basically unusable at home without WiFi since it stubbornly sticks to LTE band 2 which is the weakest in our area. once it a while it switches to 12 and is usable then, but >80% of the time it stays on band 2, even when > -120dB signal. my daughter's lg g6 is always either on 12 or 17. i've read on the internet :-) (including ATT forums) that the v30 is known to have switching issues on ATT. otherwise the phone is great and would be perfect if not for this issue. because of these problems, i'm patiently waiting for G7 prices to come down....

Compatibility check carefully for foreign carrier
Good phone. But US version does not match to Korea mobile band. I checked compatibility before order it and works but LTE quality is not good.

Warning - don't buy if you use Sprint! Unable to be used.
Purchased this to replace my current Sprint phone. I only would purchase from the manufacturer to make sure there were no problems. The current Amazon listing says "Unlocked for freedom to choose your carrier. Compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular Networks.". Unfortunately when I tried to activate it online with Sprint, the tech (via chat) said based on the MEID (?) number that it was ineligible for activation. Thinking this must be an error, I went to the Sprint store who confirmed they couldn't activate it. I contacted Amazon who contacted LG directly on my behalf and put us in a three way phone call. LG rep asked some questions and did some digging, but said the phone was compatible with Sprint but they can't make Sprint activate it. While I understand that, it certainly should NOT be listed as being compatible with Sprint if it's unable to be activated on Sprint. That's like selling someone a car that can take US blend gasoline but can't be registered in any State.

best camera phone for your money!
I have had mostly Samsung phones in the past. I like this phone better. Photography is a priority, this phone is superior. Dual main cameras capture much area quickly. Second in priority is reception, best phone I've had. Battery life lasts more than a day. That's good for me. LG makes a great phone. I buy phones unlocked and pay $40/month for provider. Why spend $1000 and more when you can get one for over $600 less?
