If anyone has had the chance to compare this to the bbluv trimo, are they pretty much the same? the trimo is out of stock, and this one looks similar.

I have not compared this to the Trimo.

What kind of batteries does it take?

The baby nail trimmer requires 1 AA battery.

The baby nail trimmer has been tested and certified by a third party lab and has a US Child Product Safety Certificate. It has not been tested by the FDA.

Are the pads flat or curved (concave)?

The pads are flat, and you can angle the trimmer to file along the nail to create a smooth line so baby does not scratch themselves (or you!)
