5 Pen Savings Ballpoint Pen Refills Compatible with Papermate Lubriglide, Aspire, PhD Pens, Medium Point, Bulk Packed (Black)

If you're like me, you hang on to old pens that are just too cool to throw away. I have a box of old Parker Jotters (my personal favorite), Paper Mates, and the odd Inoxcrom pen that I cannot bear to get rid of. So, even though a box of G2 pens (or a bag of Bic Crystals) would probably be more useful, I spend time and money bringing those old pens back from the dead. These refills used to be available at the corner stationery store, but those no longer exist so Amazon had to come to the rescue yet again with some obscure thing that I was convinced nobody but me would want. And so, after plunking down a few dollars, my Paper Mate metal-barreled clicker pen can write again after probably 20 years of dormancy. The inserts fit, they write well, and the ink does not smear. I was afraid that these would be bottom-of-the-barrel replacements that would either leak or fail to write, but they work as well as the original cartridge did many years ago. Now I have a polished chrome pen with an honest-to-goodness metal body, a pen so old that it was actually made in the USA. It writes, it looks cool, and it feels WAY better than any disposable pen.

Quality refill that writes clear, concise, letters. Smooth ink flow and comfortable. Lasts and has dark black. Satisfied with purchase and price. I found for me the best refill.

I have a Papermate Slim pen that was given to me decades ago by my mother. These ink refills fit it perfectly. The ink flows evenly and has the thin lines that I prefer. The black color is dark and easy to read.

Used these in my old paper mate. The ink does tend to blotch a bit when writing, if not for that, it would have been a 5 star review for fit and function.

I been missing my great pen. I had for years. It is a papermate and I ran out of ink. I looked all over for refills. And one day was looking for other refills and found these refills. And now I have my favorite pen back.

This review is by Adam, who is Rachel's husband. In graduate school way back in the late 80's and early 90's, we took notes in class with pen and paper. I know, right?!! My trusty Paper Mate pen was one of my favorite writing utensils. It was slim, the ink flowed well, it felt good to write, and didn't cause my hand to cramp. I somehow kept this pen all these years with the idea that I would refill it "someday." Well, that day has come! It wasn't easy to source refills, since Paper Mate seems to be out of the business of manufacturing refills for even their newest pens. But these refills replaced my old "Powerpoint" ballpoint refill in my black and silver pen. I'm not writing Maxwell's or acoustic wave equations much these days, but it's nice to have my pen back.

A FANTASTIC replacement. I have 2 Papermate pens that are quite old. One I purchased in 1979, and the other was given to me by my Father In Law who has since passed on. I treasure these pens. They're perfect for my hand fit, and the writing was terrific. Sadly, I had not been able to use them for about twenty years b/c I couldn't get a refill. I now live in Can-India, and these aren't available in that market. While in FL I ordered and recieved them, and I've returned home and went into my memory box and refilled these pens. Oh my... This Boomer is so happy right now. The refills are every bit as good as the Papermate OG's from the 80's and 90's. Fantastic.

Not worth the price we pay for it. Nothing extra ordinary. The ink leaks from the tip of the nib. A small lump of ink has to be wiped out before writing. A Reynolds refill beats this refills performance!!!
