Must have Shelby Cobra library addition
When you start to read this book, and look at the fantastic photo's, you will not be able to put it down. If you were ever lucky enough to have owned one of these amazing cars, this will bring it all back. If not, then like me this is the next best thing to having one in the garage. Shelby Cobra's Rock, all information in this book is accurate and it covers alot of ground. The price is so reasonable, buy it! Put it on your nite stand and you will find reading it over and over again just puts the buz back in your memory cells! Enjoy I highly recommend it.

If you're into reading what a lot of assorted magazines had to say about the AC Shelby Cobra you may find this paperback interesting. Basically it's a collection of magazine articles dating from 1962 to 2002. All things considered it's a good read with a few discrepancies such as on page 123 , top photo & caption. CSX2166 was not the first Shelby American factory built 427 Cobra. There has been controversy over this issue in the past. Also , not knocking the late Ken Miles as he was a brilliant driver & car builder who deserves the out-most respect ! But it wasn't Ken that stuffed a 427 into a 289 chassis , it was one Ted Sutton who did it at the Shelby American shop at Princeton Drive in Venice (CA) & that car was CSX2196 NOT CSX2166. For a complete history of CSX2166 & CSX2196 consult the World Registry of Cobras & GT40's, 4th Edition, pages 141 & 142 ( CSX2166 ) & pages 155 & 156 ( CSX2196 ). The book is kind of an interesting read , I wouldn't say it's a must have but the articles range through quite a time period with perspectives from both sides of the Atlantic but if you're a hard core AC Shelby Cobra addict you'd probably find the book interesting to have in your collection. FOUR STARS.

roughest book I have gotten from Amazon
It was described as nice and if it's nice I'd like to see a rough one.

Shelby Cobra Gold Portfolio 1962-1969 (Brooklands Books Road Test Series) (Gold portfolio series)
I have reviewed elsewhere another book concerning the AC Cobra written by RM Clarke that also covers the years 1962 - 1969. The problem I have is ascertaining to my satisfaction whether the Gold Series Portfolio is a better book. I am undecided but it is still a good book. I recommend it to collectors of books concerning the AC Cobra.
