Lullaby Paints CBK - CHD Chalkboard Paint Kit, Charred

Looks great. I wrote on this to test in a small spot, dataset great. I wrote w liquid chalk markers & tried to earase a week later & left the marks. Not as easily earasable as I'd hoped for. Not sure if it was my fault or not. Possible not even enough coats of paint or possibly shudnt leave writings up for long periods of time....

This product is wonderful! I have no idea why anyone would give this kit a bad rating. I have multiple chemical sensitivities and am extremely sensitive to anything with chemicals in it. Low voc paint kills me. This paint barely smelled and it was not a toxic smell. No issues with it affecting my health! The paint also covered fabulously. I did two coats of a 53"x68" area and it covered well. It covered over what was previously the "coloring wall" and had a lot of crayon with no issues.

This product was terrible. I ordered the kit and was really excited to use it, but it was a disaster. The paint is packaged in a "bag," which makes it nearly impossible to mix effectively before pouring it into the paint tray. The paint is extremely thin and after three coats, it appears that I will need to apply at least three more to have an opaque chalkboard surface. Additionally, when I did apply a thick layer of paint, it sagged and made drip marks. This is a horrible product and I would never purchase it or recommend it to anyone.

Amazing chalkboard paint! Glides on smoothly, kit conveniently come with everything you need. So happy to have found safe, non-toxic, completely VOC free chalkboard paint for my daughter!! Thank you!

chemicals usually make me sick, this one i was able to use, it didnt always work great on glass though

This kit is great. It comes with everything that you need - which makes it super easy to just start painting. With that said, I've ran into a few issues. The instruction tells you to rub the chalkboard with the side of a piece of chalk and then tells you to clean it off. What it doesn't tell you is whether or not it's okay to use water when you clean the chalk off the first time. Another issue that I've had is they don't go into detail as to the surface to use. I've seen where some people use this to paint on doors, some on walls. I painted a section of my wall with this so that my family can leave notes to each other, see the schedule for the week, etc. I tried using chalk markers on it afterwards and found it almost impossible to clean the chalkboard completely. Not 100% sure if it's the paint's fault, the walls fault, or the marker's fault. Maybe it would be easier to clean if my wall were 100% smooth?Loved the fact that this was odorless, easy to start, great overall kit.Disliked the issue with cleaning chalk, chalk marker, and not completely detailed with best use case of this product or instructions.

I purchased Lullaby Paint directly from the company to paint baby furniture, as Amazon did not have the color I desired. This product required 4 coats to cover the furniture and reduce (not eliminate) scratches. Meaning the I had to purchase 3 quarts which given the price point became quite expensive. The paint constantly bubbled up despite a light sanding and cleaning. I reached out to customer service, who eluded perhaps I did not sand or clean the product appropriately despite following the directions and being a seasoned furniture painter. Having painted multiple pieces of furniture, I would not recommend this product given its poor quality and expense.
