LockState LS-KD100 KeyDock Lock Box

I needed a place to store keys for a condo that I was renting out. This worked just fine, even though there are not as many unique number combinations as there could be. As others have mentioned, if you know the correct four numbers, you don't need to enter them in the correct order in order to open the lock box. Still, I used this to store my keys in a public place and didn't have any unauthorized entries.

This is perfect for my needs. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a low security place to put keys. One thing that surprised me is that it doesn't matter what order you put the numbers for the combination. So that significantly reduces the complexity of the lock which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's very easy to set up and use.

Works great. Easy to use. Easy to program and attach to a knob. Since the 3 digit combination can be entered in ANY order and still work, it wouldn't be that hard for a person to just start entering 3 digit codes and eventually get the right one pretty quickly. Not super secure because of that. Don't use it to lock up anything of excessive value...

One of the lock boxes works great. The other one the lock wouldn't open, so my husband took it apart. All the little springs in the back flew everywhere. He tried to put it back together and got frustrated and threw the front part away. Too late to return for a refund.

Our intended use was to permit "fish feeding" entry over a 2 week + period out of town without having to duplicate keys or interrupt neighbors. Code changing is easy and have used it for 2 different service teams. All have been able to intuitively figure the method. The curious part is the lock does not care about your chosen sequence, only that you have chosen 4 different #'s....I wasn't looking for "high security" just "controlled ease of access". For the price paid it is a fine product that has weathered our florida rainy season w/o difficulty.

It works. Combo is a PITA to set. It's really annoying that I have to punch in the code to CLOSE the box. Sometimes, if your fingers slip off the latch as you re-insert the door, you have to start over again. I'm not buying one of these again.

I liked what I saw, easy to set code. Luckily, so far I haven't had to put it to a test, but I hope if and when I do, I will be happy with the results and the quickness the response of the emergency team. Thank you, Jane Porter

The lock is nice and works good, but you are limited on the combinations. You can't have repeated number in the combination, such as 3884. Also, the combination works in any order, as 1234 will work if you press 2341.
