what is the gap between the screws

The two holes the screws fit through one hole is round the other. Is a elongated slot, so the distance is 25mm to 30mm.

Does it come with the screws and screw holders?

Yes it does. we were just replacing an old one and the old holes & fittings were perfect for this so it must be a standard size. I searched high and low for a nice holder. This was my choice after a couple of mistakes. The fittings hold everything nicely (they are in place with raw plugs) and it doesn’t move about. I’ve paid double the price for something that doesn’t look as good. I would buy this again for my other bathroom!
