does the crown screw down?

This watch does not say "swiss made" on the dial, but does on the back. is it assembled somewhere other than switzerland?

The older versions did not say it on the dial. The new ones with the H-40 movement do say it and now have an 80 hr PR. The newer ones can also easily be identified because they have an H stamped rotor. The issue is that many retailers have not updated their product pics.

The photo shows a swiss eta 2834-2 movement. the hamilton website shows this model having a hamilton calibre h-40 movement. what gives?

As far as I know, the h-40 movement is just a slightly modified version of the ETA 2834.

The movement is an automatic but which brand/model? eta 2836, seiko nh35a, etc...

ORBITA is a "watch winder" company. It shows the "Khaki Action Automatic 40mm" with "ETA 2824-2" and would need "650 TPD" (turns per day) to stay powered for one full day. Close enough for me, so I'll set my winder to 650. JCH
