Would NOT buy again.
I bought this kettle to replace an older Krups one. I thought I'd give this brand a try. Now I wished I had stuck with a more familiar name brand. The kettle boils the water quickly but the kettle itself also gets quite hot to the touch which wasn't the case with my Krups and I could see this as a potential hazard.Update: After using this kettle for the past 4 months, there is a ring of some chalky white substance build-up - calcium?- on the outside of the kettle, where the metal meets the plastic on the bottom of the kettle. I know calcium can build up on the bottom, inside of a kettle, but it shouldn't be on the outside of the kettle. This is definitely an inferior electric kettle.

Nice Kettle
We use this kettle every day. It's a must have item in the household. There is really nothing special about it. It does its job and that's all it's needed for. It's nice to have a big window to see the boiling water. One thing to keep in mind that once in a while it needs to be cleaned on the bottom and on the side from the inside due to the water residue. We've used it for over 2 months and so far it works great. Good item and very decent price.

This is a total waste of money
This leaks like crazy. It's going straight in the trash. The $10 one I got from the drugstore is way better. Not as pretty but much sturdier and no leaks

Died shortly after warranty ran out
I really loved this kettle, but am so very disappointed that it no longer works. The warranty ran out 5 months ago, so it lasted less than a year and a half. it just stopped heating, and the light would not go off, even in the off position. It had been working fine.

Love love love
Love love love. We just moved back from abraod, having 220v, and I was afrais this would be a slow heater... Oh no, my friends. This heats just as quickly as the 220v ones. Love the classic kettle look as well. I would buy this again
