I lost my car keys. Can a auto locksmith cut and Program this key without having an original

Not sure check with the locksmith. This might be a dealer issue (ouch). You would have to have a wrecker transport it to the dealer. I had a locksmith program mine for $30. It works just fine.

Will this work for a 2005 Nissan Altima?

No. The keys are crap and don't work.

Locksmith says it’s steel and they can’t cut it. True? What should my next step be?

Buncha BS, I had mine cut and programmed by a guy I found on Facebook marketplace who is a mobile locksmith for 40 bucks , he did it in a parking lot out of his trunk in 15 minutes.

Will this have to be programmed by a dealership in order for it to work in the car? If you would buy one from the dealership they said it has to progr

Yes have to be programmed to your car. Don’t go to the dealer, much too exspensive. Use a local locksmith that has the scan tool to program. Mine only charged 85.00 for both keys. Good luck. Shop around too they all charge whatever they want
