Best toilet in the house
Expensive but worth every penny. Power flush like no other. Looks great.

Bad design with the float
I bought 3 of these because they seem cheap enough and are lower (shorter) than the standard size. Good: use less water and flush the big stuff down the toilet easily (compared to my old ones, i always have to have a a plunger next to it everytime my daughter goes poopoo) Bad: after 2 months of usage, i discovered that the toilet floats were defective in all 3 (may be of bad design). One of of ten times, the water doesn't stop running inside the tank until i open the lid up and fix the float. Now every time i use the toilet, i have to listen until the water stop filling up the tank before leaving the bathroom. Ugh. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because i already spend $1000+ replacing all 3 of these in my bathrooms, can't justify spending another $1000 to replace them all. Don't buy.

I love my new toilets
I never thought I would be excited about a new toilet, but I love this one. We bought 2 of these toilets in early 2014 to replace the old inefficient toilets in our downstairs bathrooms. We liked the Kohler Wellworth toilets so much that we recently purchased a 3rd one for our upstairs bath. These are amazingly quiet, super quick flushing and we haven't had any problems with "partial" flushes or clogging. When our plumber came to install them, he said the Kohler Wellworth was one of the best 1.28 gpf toillets.

Back to black?
First thing: This toilet does not come with a seat, despite the ad image. After checking with the vendor, PlumberSurplus, who confirmed the unit does not ship with a seat, I ordered the Kohler seat designed for the unit (part # K-4636) from another supplier, cost $72.51. It's worth it for the "quiet close" function---the seats lower ever so gently. Definitely the most polite toilet seat ever and a hoot. Second thing: This toilet is structurally elegant, finished beautifully, installs easily, and flushes more efficiently with less water than any toilet I've ever owned. It does make a brief but pronounced sucking noise from the bowl as the tank water drops but is otherwise quiet and refills rapidly. It looks like less than half the 3.5 gallons in the tank are used per flush. Total cycle time from start to finish: 28-30 seconds. And the third: When I ordered the unit from Amazon, the ad showed 3 in stock. I got an email notification from the vendor in a few days that advised they were actually out of stock, the Amazon page had not been updated, and it would take 7 -10 days for me to receive the unit. The toilet ships in two boxes, bowl and tank. When I received the units I discovered that the back of the toilet bowl where the tank attaches was heavily chipped and in pieces. The Kohler box was damaged but the reshipping box from PlumberSurplus was not, which leads me to believe the bowl was shipped already damaged. After filing a damage claim with the vendor they quickly reshipped a whole new unit and advised that I may or may not be contacted by UPS within 30 days to inspect the damage. If UPS doesn't contact me after 30 days I can "keep or discard the product". I'm on day 24 now. Lessons learned? I'd think twice about ordering a heavy object made of vitreous china or whatever it is toilets are made of. However, an elongated black toilet isn't usually found at Home Depot and in fact, wasn't easily (or affordably) found by me at at the two specialty plumbing supply stores I shopped. Hence the Amazon order.

Amazing
The Toilet is amazing but the truly amazing part is that I ordered the same toilet from lowes and 2 different times the toilet showed up broke I ordered one time from Amazon UPS delivered it and everything was perfect

Lopsided toilets
First time I bought this toilet it was form a big box store. Installed the toilet and realized it was lopsided. Removed the toilet and checked the floor; floor was level. Returned the toilet. Thinking I got a bad unit I tried to order again by the lead time was over a month due to covid issues. Order the 2nd one through Amazon and got in about a week. This time I checked the toilet before installation and found it lopsided also. Went through a lot of work getting it returned since it was a third party seller. Kohler (the manufacturer) has a serious problem with their production. A lopsided toilet is something you're going to notice every time you use it. Trying to level it and get the drain seal to sit correctly is not a recommended path.
