Works well for Dexter Russell Knife 24303
Works well for a vegetable slicer with a thin blade that is 5.5" long. (Dexter Russell Scalloped Utility Slicer 24303)Attaches and detaches easily to a belt with a metal tip. Tip of blade sticks out 1/8 when centered exactly. A little tape works well for that.I am an insulator and this works well when you want to put it in a front or rear pocket. A little bulky for a pouch but works.

Doubles as Sheath for Mercer Culinary Shears
I am very proud of my Mercer cutlery, and didn't want to use an off brand's inferior sheath for my amazing kitchen shears. Since it seems Mercer doesn't make a sheath specifically for the shears, I had to get a bit creative. Luckily this sheath is a perfect fit and a welcome flourish to my cutlery collection.

Holds up
Even though its designed for knives, Got it for the putty knife I use for other purposes. Keeps from ripping my pockets with the sharp sides of putty knife and holds it in place rather well

Fits the knife I purchased perfectly. Its only meant for 1 type of blade. The only downside that I don't like is that it has a belt clip and no belt loop. The knife fits in there tightly and sometimes while trying to pull the knife out one handed, the case comes off my belt. Besides that its perfect. I have to find a thicker belt.

Breaks in half after a bit.
Been a couple years I think since I bought this for my job in produce. Yeah this gets one star, it worked for maybe a week before the bottom started snapping apart. Then I used rubber bands from the celery stalks to hold it together, but the knife just kept going right through it. The breaking made it unsafe and I just went back to using the cheap leather sheathes they gave us. Easy? Yeah, I guess. I looks decent and sturdy, but when dealing with produce blades, which have sharpness level 11, it becomes trash. At least it fit the blade perfectly.

Its ok if you got a smelly nice If you don't have a small nife Than this item is not for long big Knives

Bad sheath
Takes way too much force to slide it in the final inch or two and leaves big scrapes on the end of the blade. Don't buy this.
