Tremendous detail, flexible posing. Two complete models in one box.
This kit contains ALL the parts you need to build two Warhound-class scout Titans. The models are intended to be used with the Adeptus Titanicus game, which is a slightly weird scale. They are the same scale as the aircraft from the Aeronautica Imperialis range, but bigger than the old 'Epic' scale if you have any of those models. This seems to be about the only kit which has all the loadout options for two complete Titans. You get two of each weapon, so you are still slightly limited - you couldn't build two models with two Turbo Laser arms, for example. Still, at least you don't have to go and buy a whole extra sprue to get all the options, like you do with some of the Titan kits. The kit includes a lot of optional parts, with iconography for loyalist or traitor legions. The level of detail on the moulding is extraordinary. The fit is also superb. I didn't have to do much sanding at all, there were hardly any mould lines and there were no gaps to fill whatsoever. On the other hand, this is a VERY fiddly kit, with a lot of small parts. I'm OK with that, as the end result is worth the effort.GW get a lot of grief for being expensive, and rightly so. This is an expensive toy. Compare it with almost any similar-sized model aircraft, tank or car and it looks like poor value. However, if you regard it as a model kit, the quality is superb. I'm a modelmaker, not a gamer, and the only kits in my collection which even come close to this sort of quality are the Wingnuts aircraft kits - and they were astonishingly expensive (and probably loss-making even at those prices, as the company went out of business a couple of years ago).
