This yarn is actually more like roving than spun yarn
This yarn is actually more like roving than spun yarn. That makes it pretty fragile. I can see that a novice knitter might have trouble with it. If you think of working with this as simply knitting as loosely as possible -- just laying the yarn across the needles and not pulling, you should be fine. If you should pull it apart, it is easy to overlap the ends and rough them up a bit, it's fine and doesn't compromise the fabric. That said, the fabric is totally yummy. It's fluffy and super, super soft. A throw out of this would be amazing -- but also amazingly expensive. But for those of us less affluent, it makes wonderful scarves (and probably hats). You owe it to yourself to have one garment or accessory out of this.

Holy gorgeous merino yarn!
I'm pretty new too crochet, self taught with the aid of Google and videos, and even newer too the massive world of yarns. I've experimented with all sorts of brands that make true 100% merino yarns and the quality and color of Living Dreams Air Merino is absolutely fabulous! Add in that all their products are ethically sourced and they maintain a close relationship with all their partners and they are women owned and run you just can't go wrong buying from them. Almost all their products are here on Amazon and they also have an Etsy shop. I may be new but I know quality and I highly recommend Living Dreams!

Love this yarn
I only started knitting this year and recently found this yarn on line. My daughter and I just love how soft this scarf is and the richness of the color. It's a bit challenging to work with because of the added fussiness and it pulls apart but it goes right back together with no sharp ends. I've ordered more and look forward to making more scarfs.

Gorgeous yarn. It is super soft and was easy to work with once I got used to it. It is delicate as you knit but very strong within the knitted piece. I actually enjoyed the fact that it was so easy to join. It is a little bit like knitting with cotton candy without the stickiness - lol. The color was consistent and deep and really lovely. I would buy again without hesitation.

Best yarn so far
I knitted this scarf with two merino wool yarn. It was lovely. My only concern is the price - pretty high but worth it. Wonderful product, soft and easy to work with.

Chemical smell
I was initially disappointed with the smell of the yarn, which can best be described as chemical (formaldehyde?) The skein is also quite small. I will need two to make a small/medium scarf.

Love this one of a kind yarn
Love this one of a kind yarn. It is like unraveling a peice of artwork, and that is what it is, a beautiful tapestry of colors handmade into an true fiber art peice. It is warm but not too hot to wear and not itchy or irritating. A pleasure to work with. I can't wait until my scarf is done so I can wear it! The claret is perfect for me and I just bought the blue 'Montana'. Best colors I have seen online.

Breaks sometimes? But over all is wonderful for scarf
This yarn is warm, bouncy and smells really good. It breaks sometimes when you pull it but I just put them together and roll it between my palms to connect them again. Don’t know if that’s the right way? Just have to careful about handling/knitting them. But over all, I really like this yarn and to make it as a scarf . I’ll definitely buy it again.

Good quality, not a lot of quantity
The wool itself is ok, very fragile, rips easily when pulled, but with care is fine (follow instructions provided if wool breaks). The amount of wool there I found to be a bit lacking, there was just enough there to make a toque (for an adult with a small head, hook size around 8 mm). Definitely not enough there to make a scarf. For the price it would be pretty expensive to make anything larger out of it. Also this type of wool will tend to be "fuzzier" than some, so keep that in mind for whatever project you want to use it for. It does itch a little as a toque, but not bad. This wool is also hand wash only. So I rated this 3 stars, the quality of the wool is good, the color was beautiful, but for my next merino project I will likely go to a washable merino blend vs. this in order to spend less on larger projects.
