Gundam FG-01 RX-78-2: E.F.S. Force Prototype Close-Combat Mobile Suit 1/144 Scale Gundam Model Kit (Japanese Import)

This is my second FG RX-78-2 that I've owned (the first one came from a convention). First off, THIS IS NOT THE HGUC version. YOU NEED PAINT.This kit comes in solid white/off-white and requires paint on virtually every part to get it to look like the one in the photos. It features very limited articulation due to the small parts count as well as lack of polycaps (this kit lacking polycaps also means the joints will wear out much faster). The sculpt is based off the PG RX-78-2 Gundam but is also is designed to be a backwards homage to the old 80's kits which had VERY limited articulation.To sum up, only get if you need painting practice or just like old kits. Otherwise, get the HGUC version.

surprising basic no grade kit. I ordered this to play around with and attempt a kit bash (combining two kits) with a little work the model looks great. surprising amount of detail and ease of build. if you have the skill to paint this bad boy and know how to do a little masking it almost looks like a high grade kit (minus the limited poses) if you can get this kit cheaper than its high grade brother, give it a shot. you wont be disappointed.

It is wonderful, but need to print it.

The product description did not explain the model. Once I received the model it was not painted and requires glue. I wish I had known that before purchasing.

The  Super Cheap Zaku  was awesome, Total blast to build, total blast to paint, Everything awesome.This Turd on the other hand is like Toothpaste white and rejects paint. Simple fun build but looks like poop no matter what you do. Not even worth the 5 bucks IMO.

I bought this little Gunpla just as I started to build plastic models and not too sure of my skill level I bought this and a HG RX-78-2.I completely the HG no problem then received this little guy. Took no more than 40 minutes to build. The model is completely white with room for panel lines. No stickers/decals were included.This would be a great little kit for someone getting into gunpla painting or finishing, but I'd recommend going with a HG model at least if you want something to sit on your shelf.

旧1/144キットを2000年の技術水準・同価格で再現したキットです。自分で考案した改造アイデアを検証するために、単純構造のモナカキットが欲しくて入手しました。形状が現代的にアレンジされているせいで、例えば胴と腰を切り離したい場合でもラインの凹凸が邪魔になって"ノコで一気に"とはいきませんね。かといってキットのままでは肘が90度曲がらないし、腕を45度に開くと肩アーマーが干渉して上腕回転軸が回らなくなる等、詰めの甘さが気になる出来ですし…。80年代的改造を思い切り楽しみたい場合は、再販に合わせて旧キットを購入した方が良いかも知れません。2010年以降の1/144HGガンダムに比べると手足が太めで安定感があるスタイルをしていますので、このバランスが好きな方はポーズ固定モデルのベースにしたり、模型用ジョイントなどを仕込んで可動範囲を広げたりと、用途は決して狭くないと思います。最近のキットは完成度が高すぎて、技術の低いモデラーには改造に手を出す機会が少なくなってきているかも知れません。大胆に改造できる大味なキットも、時々恋しくなります。

気軽に作る人ならいいと思いますが、完璧を目指す人には少々時間がかかるかもしれません。

このキットはパーツ割が大雑把で、ランナー色は白のみなので、塗装、墨入れ、マスキング、合わせ目消し、後ハメ加工が必要なキットとなっております。逆にいえば、これらが非常に安い値段で練習できるキットであると言えます。これさえちゃんと組めるようになれば、中級者の仲間入りです。また、デザインの元がPGガンダムからの流用なのでそれぞれのディテールがかなりいいので、HGUCのガンダムやジムとのニコイチにも適しているともいえます。
