Functional
This may not be the best constructed, but for $42 I took it to the N. Umpqua in Oregon and caught a 32 inch wild summer run steelhead. I did find the sections would easily come undone, so I did have to place electrical tape around each section to keep the rod together, but if you are looking for a spey rod and don't wan t to sink 400-600 dollars for a starter rod, this may be for you.

Price Is Right
Ordered a 13 ft, received a 13-6 (not a big deal). Properly assembled length is 13-4. True to fly rod number based on a modified "Common Cents" analysis. Matte finished graphite with modified to slow action (flexes almost into the butt section). Some rod builders prefer this action. Guides are OK though the stripper guide is not the best and I would prefer a larger ring size. Thread wraps and epoxy finish are both fine. Cork is standard grade with no glaring defects. I would like both the butt grip and fore grip corks to be half again longer than they are. Down locking double ring reel seat with woven carbon fiber over tube insert (nice touch). One locking ring has a rubber O-ring to help keep it tight, another nice touch. True to weight as advertised. Some reviewers commented on loose ferrule connections. A little paraffin and proper seating pressure takes care of this. Beginner or back up rod, can't beat it for the price.

Awesome customer service
Bought the 13ft rod summer of 2019 for fishing Red Salmon in Alaska. Unboxed and set it up July of 2020. Caught 6 fish right away, but the the tip of the second section broke, had worked its way loose. Amazon website only offers 30day warranty. I contacted seller. They said no problem and sent me replacement section. Awesome!!!

This product is poorly constructed
I ignored a previous buyer's comments on the product, who said that the rod he bought broke the first cast he made with the rod. The rod I bought did exactly the same, snapped off at the bottom joint...very first cast with it...so its crap. ...and as I bought the rod as a present and thus didnt give it for a while I had inadvertently exceeded the returns date..so dont buy anything from this seller...I wouldnt give it any stars at all...but you cant submit a review unless it has one start....not even worth that...

I would call the quality of this rod Middle of the road
The 13’ rod is nice but it is multiple pieces and they don’t fit together vary well the Overall look and design seems to be high-quality other than when the rod is completely together it feels loose

Great Price, Decent Quality
I guess I was one of the lucky who received a well-made rod, now I read the reviews others have submitted. No, the rod did not break or suffered from any defect. I found the sections fit very tightly--to the point it required a considerable force to separate them. I did notice, however, the sections came loose while casting. I found out it stayed fastened, if I push the sections a little tighter towards each other. Operator error, I guess. One thing about the design of the reel seat is that the fastening rings tighten towards the end of the lower cork handle. It is the opposite of other fly rod's design. I did find that the rings do come loose during casting, and I need a small rubber band to keep the rings from loosening. I would not call this a flaw, since other reel seats tend to show this symptom. The corks are of very good quality, epoxy treatments on the sections well executed, The eyelets are strong and fast, and it has a hook hold for your fly, so that you could move to and fro without getting tangled. I am a happy customer. The rod propels the line like a rocket--wishfully thinking. I realize I need a lot of practice. So I cannot comment how well it casts! Mine did not show any faults or defects, and was made aesthetically. The sections fit precisely and tight. I'd say, it's a good deal!
