I planted right soon as I got them. Didn't know which end to plant or does it make a difference?One barely grew, sprouted about 3 leaves and no new growth after that. The other sticks never grew and I watered them all the same.

I got between 4 and 6 branches per order. I was able to get about a 30% success rate, which is much lower than thever 80% success rate I get when I take cuttings myself. Some of the branches they send are new green wood. For the best success, you really want to root at least one year old wood that is about the diameter of your pinky is and 6-8 inches long. These are 4-6 inches long and not very thick. However, it is a good way to get a long of varieties of figs at a decent price.

Ordered my cuttings last week of June and they arrived on July 1st. Shipping was perfect. I also received one extra for a total of five and each approx 6" in length. Three were definitely older wood, the other two maybe last years growth as they seemed a little green. Of the five cuttings, I'm keeping two dormant in the fridge and immediately began my rooting process on the other three. I cut them in half, dipped them in hormone gel and placed them in my bubble cloner. Two weeks later, I had roots growing very well. I planted them in 6" pots with 50/50 mix of potting soil and perlite and crossed my fingers. Within one week I had a little nub growing and upon closer inspection, I realized I rooted and planted them upside down!! Silly me! I was in such a rush to get these planted, I didn't pay attention to the orientation of the leaf scars that are evident. So, I pulled them out of the dirt, washed them off and put them back in the bubble cloner! They didn't seem fazed one bit and grew roots out the other end within days. I now have them in small, clear plastic cups so I can monitor root growth. Within days, they have exploded with roots so much they are popping up out of the soil! I have attached a few pics of my progress and setup. I will definitely order more cuttings from this seller again if they carry another variety that will grow well in zone 6. While I know it will be awhile before I get any fruit, I am confident that these will thrive very well going forward. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck and grow figs!!

thank you for this purchase. they had to be thicker a little abit!! they were skinny then they did not grew up well.next year I will buy again the same thing from you on March 2017.. so get ready to provide me a thick cutting to guarantee they will do good. thank you again and again.. and God bless you
