Flawless workmanship
Not only was I thrilled to find this item (I considered making my own if necessary), the quality was flawless. Smooth, fine grain wood with no knots and the construction was precise--exactly how I would have made it. I wish more products would show this level of attention to detail. The torii will be painted black and red and placed in my garden near a concrete Buddha that I purchased for $35 when I was out of work some decades ago. It was an extravagance at the time but it still makes me smile because it brings up fond memories. I finally have a yard and I look forward to creating a small Zen space. A worthwhile investment for me.

It is however flat on its backside, which at first I thought cheapens it but it does make it easy to hang on a wall
