I don't often review products because, I suppose, I rarely find products that live up to the marketing hype.I purchased this kit primarily because the "Try Me" kit contained both the sample size shave oil (0.7 oz) and the shave cream (2.0 oz) along with the aftershave and face wash, all for a price that I could accept a loss on if the products did not live up to the claims.I am now 42, and to be honest, I didn't expect much from this kit, probably because after twenty some odd years of being let down I have become a bit jaded and fairly skeptical about new wazoo shaving claims. Don't get me wrong, I am obvious hopeful and open minded enough that I will try new things, it's just that a vast majority of the time products simply are no better than what they claim to be replacing.To be upfront, I had no interest in the aftershave and face wash, so this review is only about the shave oil and cream.Having somewhat sensitive skin, I have always been rather diligent with my shaving rituals. I always shave during my shower as I have found that it to be the ideal place to shave due to the fact that I can keep my face wet and whiskers damp during the process.After washing my face, I mixed 3 drops of the shave oil with a small amount of shave cream, lathered between my hands and applied the oil to the areas I wanted to clean up (I keep a thin neatly trimmed beard). I let the mixture set as I finished washing up, and then commenced the shave.Being skeptical I was using a razor blade that was a bit over used and ready for replacement. My reasoning was that if the product lived up to it's claims, even the duller razor should be able to cut through the hairs and give me a close shave, and if it didn't, I would know immediately.Did it work? A resounding yes, unlike any other product I have tried to date.Am I happy and astounded? Oh, yeah. I had a close and razor burn free shave, all without thick lather that normally must be rinsed away prior to cutting in fine lines.Will I purchase more of this product? Again, oh yeah, as a matter of fact I will be purchasing these kits for my sons and my friends.Expensive, possibly (I have no idea how long .7 oz will last when you dispense 3 drops per shave), but worth every penny in my book if it gives you a clean shave without the razor burn and hassle of traditional foams that don't perform nearly as well.I will continue to use the product and give an update in a few months.

If you any of you guys have tried the Best for last aftershave from the grooming lounge. The rest of the products contained in this kit have the exact same smell and wonderful soothing feeling which in my opinion is awesome. The mug cleaner face wash lathers up great and cleans/preps the face for the shave. I didn't use the pre-shave oil because pre-shave oil's are not necessary, but I might try in the future and I can assume it will be popular for men that like to use shave oil's. The shave cream lathers very slightly which some men may or may not like. I like a lather myself, but I expected it not to lather so I wasn't shocked that it didn't. As for performance when you work the cream it into your beard you feel it right on the skin and the beard stands up. It has a fantastic feeling on the face. The shave is smooth with the absence of tugging, pulling and irritation. The aftershave is the icing on the cake. It is soothing and cooling. I bought the full size aftershave previously and felt that it was so good that I decided to purchase this try me kit. I was not disappointed. This shave kit is generous in size and definitely worth the try.

At first everything was working well. But aftet a few days my face was tingling so on my preveously scheduled visit to my dermatologist I took the products with me. She informed me that they all contained parabens, an ingredient that is one of the most common allergens to mens facial skin plus one other common allergen. So she gave me a list of ingredients to avoid and off to Walmart I went to spend another $25.00 on shaving products that don't contain allergens.

i kinda like it, but it was expensive, and i tried it but the oil will get Sitka, so i could not shave good so the next time i tried it without the oil and i did not see any different from any other product that i bought before for $5.00 or their product that cost almost $60.00,and i am not saying that the product is bad, NO BUT IT did not work on my skin, so maybe each man has different type of skin that it might work on them, so give it a try and see the result like me, and i did follow all the steps on video of how to clean your face first and put a hot towel on the skin and then i will apply the oil and then apply the shaving cream, so i did the same steps but the result was not good my face will bleed, so i did not like it, and i did not see any different from Walmart product that i could for way cheeper that what i paid for this company, i wish if they could refund me at lest half of what i paid.

I got a nice clean shave using this product, But I don't like the smell of it. The shaving cream, and aftershave aroma was so strong it ruined the smell of any of the colognes I tried with it.

From this group of items, oil is the only one which you want to use. Its oil is great for going against the grain. Don't get other items just get the oil.

I liked the face wash and after shave. The beard oil gave a slick surface for shaving. The oil also has a nice scent. The shave cream was smooth. Kinda more like a lotion than a traditional shave cream.

I love the packing and styling of the set! But what's inside does smell like traditional medicine from Asia !!
