Any cleaning recommendations?

When I put water in the bowl, it starts leaking profusely from the bottom and one of the legs. Is this expected or is mine far too porous?

Well it is lava rock. We had a fire place that when the wind blew the right direction when it rained we had a waterfall. Paste type things and grain are good. Remember to use no soap and hot water. You might want to get marble mortar and pestle???

Is this 100% volcanic rock

Yes it is! My friend I gave it to my friend and he said when he was doing the break in grind they recommended. He could smell smoke from it!
