8Bitdo Wireless USB Bluetooth Adapter for PlayStation Classic Edition/Windows/Mac/Raspberry Pi/Switch, with OTG Cable

Picked up a couple of these to be able to connect 8Bitdo SN30Pro Plus controllers on my RetroPie (Linux) setup. If you want to use the analogs then don't bother. Joy2Key picks these up as Sony Interactive Entertainment controllers. I went into Windows for the FW updater and same thing. Makes sense right? They do say they are the PS Classic adapters right? Here's the thing....no matter how you pair them (Windows mode, Switch mode, PS mode, etc) they will only operate as Sony HID. The listing plainly states, "Windows/Mac/Raspberry Pi/Switch" and "With the 8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter, you can easily use PS4, Xbox One S, PS3, Wii Mote, Wii U Pro, Joycons and all 8BitDo controllers with PS1 Classic Edition, Switch, PC, Mac, Raspberry Pi and more."Most gaming systems out there support X-input mode. If I am pairing an 8Bitdo controller with for example X-input mode then the controller very well better show up as "Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller". If I pair in Switch mode then it better show up as "Nintendo Switch Pro Controller".

so i ordered this because i didn't want to spend the $180 for the ps4 USB and it does connect to my controller only thing is i cannot remap the buttons and i bought it so i can play final fantasy 11 on my PC and even when i use the config for ff11 it doesn't recognize the controller so i can't remap it the only way i can remap my controller is by making it wired which i dont mind but having a toddler around make that difficult she likes to pull cords is it a good buy yes does it work yes is it simple to us yes downfall you can remap buttons even after the lastest firmware update for 2020

Works great with my NES30 8 Bitdo Controller and also allowed me to use an Xbox (bluetooth version) controller with my Playstation Classic Mini console. No issues.

I bought this for my PS1 Classic, and it worked out of the box perfectly. I paired it with one of my PS4 controllers in a few seconds and it makes playing the PS1 so much more comfortable. The analog sticks work great, and I've had no issues with connectivity. The USB-A-to-C dongle and the big gray velvet bag were a nice bonus!

I bought this to use on my Switch and it works great! It takes no time to sync up and the controls are very responsive. The only downside is that it basically doesn't fit on the USB port on the back of the Switch's dock, meaning it will have to stick out on the side of the dock. Highly recommended if you need a second controller for Switch, have a spare DualShock or Wii U Pro Controller laying aroung and don't want to spend up to $70 on a Switch Pro Controller.

Using the PS4 controller with the PS Classic now and there is significant input lag. I bought this so that I could use analog sticks and have bigger trigger buttons, as well as play wireless. Right now games are unplayable due to the lag. I'll try another controller and report back.**Edit** I've updated to the latest firmware and still no change. Though now no controller will connect to the adapter. I don't know if I can uninstall the latest firmware and try again. 8bitDo Support told me to return the product. It seems like the input lag and delay were prominent in Metal Gear Solid. I can't test any other controller because they none connect since updating firmware.

Does what it is supposed to. Unfortunately, i couldn't find anything before i bought it that explicitly said it didn't work with 3rd party controllers (i.e steelseries) which is what i bought it for. HOWEVER, if you have an xbox or PS4 controller, it does work! i tested it with an xbox controller and it worked.
