This soling sheet will be perfect for adding new life to your favorite worn-out shoes, boots, moccasins, or sandals, but can also provide a basis for making footgear of your own design from scratch. Let your imagination flow with this lightweight, yet durable material. A light sanding of the surfaces and then cleaning with denatured alcohol or similar before applying Barge cement, ShoeGoo, contact cements, or other adhesives will aid greatly in the longevity of your repair.

Good for soling shoes - UPDATE Children's only
I have used this material to sole two pairs of minimalist shoes I sewed for my children. It has attached and held up well to wear, although they haven't worn them long yet. The material is easy to cut with good scissors. After making two small child-sized pairs there is still plenty of material left to make more pairs.UPDATE Also made a pair for me. The material has started to crack at the ball of the foot at a point of flexion after only about 6 weeks of wear. I examined the children's shoes (all worn longer than mine) and no such wear. I think the material is perfectly suitable for minimalist children's shoes, but may not hold up to the wear and tear of a heavier body (I'm not a particularly large adult) like an older child, teenager, or adult.

not natural crepe rubber, not 1/8", not flexible, wrong odor
Unfortunately I only recently opened the package. It was wrapped in plastic and that kept the wrong odor from being apparently. I hope it's not as bad as others have claimed cause it's too late to return. My bad.

Not real crepe rubber, but it seems durable.

May not be what was claimed
I have no idea if this is actually what the seller claimed. It is supposed to be natural rubber, which I have ordered before and does not have a strong odor, but this stuff smells like tires and oil. I would like an answer from the seller as to what the material actually is.

I liked it until I noticed all the black marks on our floor
I have resoled a couple of pairs of shoes with this and I thought it worked well until I started noticing lots of black marks on our kitchen floor. It marks the floor very easily - like you can pretty easily write your name with the sole of the shoe. It makes me think the soles may not last very long with regular wear.

Gum? Isn't Gum supposed to be soft?
I wanted to use this material for the bottom of a curling shoe. Needs to be pretty soft to conform to the pebbling on the ice surface. It looked like it would work but the material is not soft at all. Nice texture but very stiff. I knew better but I cut out enough to cover the bottom of one shoe and glued it on. No grip at all. Might as well had a slider on both shoes. Returned it.This might work for many other situations but for sure... it's not Gum.
