***UPDATE: It is now 3/28/2020 and I have been using this product since about January 1, 2020. Following are my updated observations: Everything in my initial review stands, this product has been very helpful to me in making videos. The one issue I have is that the table clamp lever cam has already worn out and does not clamp well anymore. (it's not broken, it just doesn't clamp tightly anymore. I see a lot of plastic dust in the cam area.) To make up for performance deficit I now clamp a bar clamp over the Hovergrip table clamp and this gives plenty of grip (not ideal but still worth it.) END OF 3/28 UPDATE BEGINNING OF ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a really well engineered product and is extremely versatile - congratulations to its designers and developers. The claims on the product page accurately describe how it works. My iPhone 10 clips in and remains secure even if I wave it around (just to test it). The table clamp is very secure. I am not certain on the longevity of the plastic cam levers as they are of light construction - only time will tell. This stand is amazing in how easily the phone can be positioned and angled in 3D space, however due to the long arm length required for this functionality, small disturbances cause the phone to vibrate when in this stand. A small vibration will continue for a long time, so when using for photos care needs to be taken to calm the motion before taking the picture and to not to have any external vibration sources present. This holder is not suitable for use in a moving automobile because of the vibration. In summary this is a great product and well worth getting! END OF ORIGINAL REVIEW

The unit allows a smart phone to be put into an infinite number of positions and will clamp to many objects. It needs a flat surface (one of my monitors has curved back so it won't attach to it, for example, but the other works fine. Why do you need this? When using a smartphone for a video conference it needs to be positioned at eye level and be steady. Otherwise, the remote attendees will see you from weird angles and will see a jerky/blurry image. It has some small plastic parts that probably will get broken over time (by many, at least) but at this price point it is a good value. Note: if you are going route then seriously consider a wireless, Bluetooth earpiece it makes an online meeting a much more effective experience. Also, additional lighting is worth thinking about if your appearance matters.

BEST PHONE HOLDER PERIOD!!! I cannot recommend this product enough! Pros: -multifunctional: I perform at the Santa Monica Pier and Promenade, and I have been in search of something to hold my phone. I didn’t want to use my ipad out there, cause wind, weather, humidity, accidents, etc happen. I tried the big bulk bolt-tightening holders and it’s too much weight/top heavy. I had to cycle through some products before finding this. This bad boy can hold a phone like a champ, and it can attach to just about any piece of gear you can think of. Plus, when you wanna lay on the couch and watch youtube, once again this thing comes to the rescue. I’m finding more and more ways to use this nifty little gadget, and as a musician, I freaking love this thing! -lightweight: if you travel for anything, it’s niece to be able to haul around something so sturdy but not feel its weight. The arm is super stiff, so it’s not flimsy at all; yet, it still is insanely light weight. Roll it up and it doesn’t take any space at all. -sturdy: I know in the pic it seems like a lightweight piece of gear (and it is haha), but once you feel it in your hand you’ll see what I mean. Even on windy days, I know my phone isn’t going anywhere, and especially since phones are so expensive, I don’t want to be risking buying another iphone. -flexibility: I love it’s ability to bend. I love that I don’t have to keep adjusting my mic stand to get my phone at the right angle. After trying some other holders on amazon, I didn’t like how hard to “manipulate” they were after you got them snug. I like being able to reshape it on the fly. Sometimes you’re mid song or singing and I start getting carried away with my movement haha, and I wanna be able to see it from a different angle. I like how I can sneak in adjustments without it interrupting my flow. -customer service: BRAD HIMSELF is easier to reach than my own loved ones haha! If you need help, have questions, problems, etc, he will be there every step of the way. Do you know how much cheap crap I’ve bought on amazon from who knows where, and there is ZERO customer service backing up their product? I know I’m preaching to the choir, but Amazon is amazing to find cheaper deals, but often you have to deal with bad customer service. Brad stands by his product. If anything goes wrong, he’ll immediately step in to help, even if it’s just simple questions like “how do I get it to do this or that?” Cons: -none I can think of. Besides if something goes wrong, reach out and you’ll get help/customer service faster than you can blink! Unbelievably satisfied with Hovergrip. I rarely leave reviews on anything, but I don’t think I’ve been this satisfied with a purchase haha. Lot of “bang for your buck.” And especially musicians out there, this is the item you’re looking for. Again, I cannot recommend this product enough!

I thought I was going to love this product. I have had trouble finding one of these hands free holders (windshield obstructs view, dash textured so won't stick, vent blows cold air on the phone, didnt want to use adhesive on my car). I thought I had found what I needed with this clamp. It worked well in my garage. However when I went to FL and had no garage it was too hot for it. The clamp started slipping all over the place. It turns out that the glue had melted and the pads were slipping away from the clamp. I now have sticky adhesive on my console, ugh.

I LOVE this product!!!! The design is ingenious. So simple and easy to use. I use it to hold my phone within view and reach on my mic stand. It’s PERFECT! You can attach it to a mic stand with or without the clamp that comes with it (I tried it with the clamp, and it worked perfectly). I bent the flexible arm around in a loop and attached the phone to the phone clip at the end of the flexible arm. The phone clip rotates so you can view your phone either horizontally or vertically. And because the arm bends, you can adjust the height and angle at which you view the phone. The phone stayed securely in place and did not bounce when I touched it. Great if you need to see your lyrics on the phone! The hovergrip seems to be so well made. The bendable arm is flexible but strong. I could not rate durability because I just got it and used it only once, but it feels like it will last. The materials, including the bendable arm, clamp attachment and phone clip, seem to be of very high quality. I highly recommend this product!!! Also, the seller is amazing! I had a question about the product after I got it, and he responded immediately and was SO helpful! You cannot go wrong with this purchase!!!

The end broke off ours the first day, and judging from what a small weak piece of plastic is holding it, its a bit baffling to us how anyone can keep one of these intact for more than a few uses. Granted the instructions warn you that it is weak and not to bend it hard, but the nature of the product means you are always trying to bend it around things and it would take extreme caution to not overstress the end piece when you are doing it.

The Hovergrip really IS strong. I wasn't sure what to expect because there was a 1 star review saying theirs broke. I had another brand and that arm did break and the clip cracked and i had to return it, but this one really does feel unbreakable and super sturdy. since i have something to compare it with let me tell you, the previous one was slowly going down, no matter how hight i put the phone, but this one isn't even moving, it is so so reliable and useful! I bet someone didn't see the instructions in the listing in a couple places that says not to bend the Hovergrip by grabbing the clip part. I just bend the ARM itself when wrapping, AND when angling the phone to my view. I saw a couple Hovergrip videos on YouTube. So maybe those helped. But this thing is an absolute must have! and i highly recommend it to everybody! Love it.

I bought this to use in my Jeep Wrangler since all the other ones mount your phone way up on the dashboard and/or require installation. I tried various locations and configurations and finally settled on wrapping it around the grab handle above the glovebox and it works like a charm. It can be easily moved, puts my phone within reach, and doesn’t obstruct my view.

I bought this for my husband so he can watch shows from his iPhone while riding his exercise bike. He attached it to a board secured to his treadmill so that he wouldn’t have any movement caused by the exercise bike moving. He thinks the hover grip is excellent and haven’t been able to find anything as good as this product. The quality is excellent, has a very tight grip on your phone so it will never fall off and the clamp to fasten onto a table or board fits so tightly that it will never slip. The extension cord/neck is flexible but once bent to your height preference stays put without drooping. I highly recommend this product. It is an excellent product at an excellent price. I do not have anything negative to say about it.

Great for laying in bed watching a film, or just lounging on the sofa flicking through Instagram. This is the one gadget that you didn't know you needed. Holds my phone very securely without blocking the screen, the clamp is very strong and deals with my phones weight with ease. Awesome stuff 👏
