Best Net I Have Ever Thrown (or Owned)!
There are still a few skilled people in Florida who make, no, craft excellent custom cast nets. The wait time and cost of one of their nets is long and high, respectively, although both are arguably worth it.For those of us who can't quite afford a custom net, yet still demand high quality, Calusa cast nets are without doubt the best! They are softer, better sewn, better weighted to sink faster, and have other features that set them apart from other "off-the-shelf" nets and make them close to custom nets. My net throws, spreads, and sinks perfectly! It is the best net I have thrown in my life. (I was born in Florida and grew up on the southern end of Tampa Bay. Using cast nets has been a part of fishing all my 70 years.)
