This trap bar has been great for its intended purpose. It's solid, feels sturdy during lifts, and works exactly as expected for deadlifts, shrugs, carries, and other trap bar movements. One thing I really appreciate is its relatively small space profile compared to larger gym equipment. It stores easily in my home gym and doesn't take up unnecessary room when not in use. The construction feels durable, the handles are comfortable, and it has held up well through regular workouts. If you're looking for a quality trap bar that performs well without dominating your workout space, this is a great choice. Highly recommended for anyone building a home gym.

It was very easy to assemble. It is extremely sturdy and better quality that anticipated. I watched people’s videos of the bar being loose, and well, it needs to be tightened. I used a socket wrench and adjustable wrench and tightened everything up no problem. I’m a female and assembled by myself in about 20 minutes. You have to retighten things over time. That’s normal. Also, all of my plates fit. You really have to get plates from reputable brands if you want things to be correct. There is not as much standardization of sizing when it comes to off brand/cheaper plates. I’m not knocking having to purchase plates based on a budget, I get it. But it is not this products fault that the plates don’t fit.

I’ve only had a chance to use this with about 80 lbs plus the bar itself (the bar is 27.8 lbs according to my scale), so I can’t comment on how it performs under very heavy loads yet. That said, my first impressions are very positive. Assembly was about as easy as it gets. It took me less than 15 minutes by myself, and the instructions were literally just two diagrams. An extra set of hands might make it a little easier, but it’s manageable as a one-person job. The hardware went together without any issues, and I like that the bolts and nuts are standard enough that replacing them down the road shouldn’t be difficult. The bar itself is lightweight and easy to move around, which is nice if you’re training in a home gym. Just keep in mind that because of its lighter construction, I’d personally stick to the manufacturer’s recommended weight capacity rather than trying to test it with something extreme like an 800 lb deadlift. One feature I really like is the raised frame design. It starts the lift a little higher than a traditional deadlift, which can make it a bit easier on your knees and lower back. I’m about 6ft tall with long arms. It also makes loading Olympic plates much more convenient since the sleeves sit high enough that the plates don’t rest on the floor while you’re sliding them on. The handles have a slightly gritty textured finish, providing a nice amount of grip without feeling overly aggressive. My only real criticism is that the bottom of the feet are bare metal. If you’re using this on tile or finished flooring, it could potentially scratch or mark the surface. I’ll probably add some rubber or high-density pads to protect my floor. It would have been nice if rubber feet were included from the factory. Another small bonus is that the powder-coated finish looks good, and if you’re into customizing your equipment, it seems like something that could easily be repainted or personalized. Overall, especially for the price, I’m happy with the purchase so far. It may not be the most sturdy but If it continues to perform well as I increase the weight, this will easily be one of the better values for a home gym trap/hex bar.

Works as intended. I do not believe it’s as good of quality as the single piece welded bars, but it works great for me. No issues with a couple hundred pounds. Not commercial gym quality but works well for my home gym. Easy to assemble. Lot of room inside making lunges etc possible. Handgrips are perfect space apart for me, but could be wide for smaller person perhaps.

Tilt to step in. Perfect for me to use at home to increase bone density. I do heavier wts at Gym with my Trainer x3 weekly. I wanted something I could load easily and work safely alone. I only use 4- 10# wts and the Trap Bar at home.

Bargain! This is an OLYMPIC (2") frame for upper trapezius (shrugs) and squats. Excellent construction, durable for sure, great welds and fasteners. Weighs about 28 pounds per the bathroom scale. Packaged well, simple assembly. 17mm bolts go through from the outside: the set of four longer bolts, washers and 17mm nylon locking nuts are for the weight bars and framing, while the other set of four shorter bolts are for the support framing only. NO TOOLS INCLUDED so you will need a 17mm open-ended wrench (or crescent wrench), ratchet, and 17mm socket for easiest assembly. Helps to have two people holding things aligned during assembly, but it was not at all difficult for just me (I assembled it on the gate of my truck). If you like, save a few bucks by purchasing a color that nobody wants (it was green for me and I am fine with it) and purchasing a can of quality spray paint for the exact color you prefer.

Really heavy duty bit of kit. Very happy with my purchase I found it much easier than deadlifting no back issues. freed up my Olympic bar for benching. Not difficult to put together just don't get the bolts mixed up. Really glad I got this when I did & at that price. Pukka.

Good hex bar. I use it with Olympic bumper plates and it's just fine. I only go up to about 140kg or so but it's a solid unit and it's clear that it's not going to break. The height is good in that the bumper plates hover just off the ground about 1cm, so you can slide them on and off without having to prop up the bar. Overall would recommend for anyone setting up a home gym.
