Overall a very good Blu Ray
Don't get me wrong I love Grindhouse and what it is trying to achieve, however the idea of spending $50 million + on a film that is made to look like it cost a fraction of that has always perplexed me.Planet Terror is a very good take of a good old Zombie flick; however it lacks the darker atmosphere of many of the films it is trying to pay homage to. Yes, it is its own film, it just lacks a bit of edge. 4 starsDeath Proof is an original idea and isn't a bad film, but it just doesn't do it for me. 3 stars. The highlight of the movie for me are the trailers (except Rod Zombies Werewolf Women of the ss) especially "Thanksgiving" which is so over the top it's unbelievable.Nice to have the film released on blu ray as the project was intended and not have to buy two separate films. All in all this package with 2 films, some great trailers all the extras deserves 4.5 stars which I will round up to 5 instead of down to 4.

If you want the full uncut movie, don’t buy this.
Firstly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the seller or dvd itself. Quick delivery, excellent quality. My problem is that I got the collectors edition assuming it would be the complete feature, and it is not. There are important scenes cut from this version of Deathproof that means the storyline doesn’t entirely make sense. Going to shelve this one and buy the extended and uncut version separately because I love the film, the full one!

Delighted to finally have the full shebang!
I was very disappointed when Grindhouse was initially released in the UK split into it's two main components.More disappointed still to find that the trailers were not included. This travesty has now been rectified with this blu ray release and now you can watch the whole thing as it was meant to be seen.Interesting too to see the shortened version of Death Proof with it's missing reel and how it changes the context of the film (I prefer the shortened version).Picture quality is obviously difficult to judge because most of the feature has been deliberately scratched so it looks like an old grindhouse flick from the 1970's.Overall this is great fun.Highly recommended.

The 'Death Proof' sequence is still as bad as the standalone version was
I had the two separate films - 'Planet Terror' and 'Death Proof' - but I wanted to have the complete Grindhouse experienceThe score is for 'Planet Terror' and the extras on the disc. The 'Death Proof' sequence is still as bad as the standalone version was!

A great pair of movies
A great pair of movies, although as I am a pervert, I would have appreciated the lapdance scene that is available on the individual Death Proof blu-ray to be included in the deleted scenes or whatever.

Criminally underrated
I'm still annoyed with Harvey for not releasing the true Grindhouse experience in UK cinemas. The piecemeal release of both films after the American audience had indifferently shunned it was a mistake. Both films and the conjoined, 'trimmed to the bone' double feature are a fantastically enjoyable homage to the grimy, late night cinema of the 70s resplendent with scratched up 'film', overly long dialogue scenes and lashings of arch dialogue and gore.
