Ice Cream Man Volume 1: Rainbow Sprinkles

It's not perfect but it's about as close as you can get. If the premise sounds like it could have something for you it does.
Wow this was a little different then I was expecting but mostly what I was hoping for. I was expecting a fun 50s bmovie insired romp with experimental art and I got that. I also got some surprisingly touching and chilling storys and while I didn't break into tears or hesitate to turn the page out of horror all of them got me to care about the characters even ones I would just hate and be indifferent to in lesser writing and my eyes did water at times and the art is some of the most breath taking and purposeful i've ever seen. Now this book isn't something i'd put on par with say neil gaimans the sandman and it gets off to a slow start and had a couple clunky moments towards the beginning and it didn't scare me as much as I would usually want a horror comic to(tbh though a lot of stuff people think is great doesn't) but if you're a fan of well realized experimental comics, old bmovies, or pre comics code horror books, or just want a comic to give you some chills, feels, and fun craziness, or just really want something different I think you'll find a lot to love or at least like. Also if you're someone who hestitates on trying new books out of fear they'll have forced politics or social justice stuff in them this book has none.

A book with stories as beautiful as the artwork
Great new comic! If you love stand-alone stories drenched in horror, great characters and beautiful art Ice Cream Man is where it's at! Beautiful in every way. Almost takes me back to my love for The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Darkside and Creepshow. Always looking forward to the next issue.

Interesting premise
It feels like just one sad or horrifying story after the other (which i was expecting) but i thought it was gonna be just that. Apparently it was a build up to something bigger. Maybe I'll give the second volume a try.

Great new series
Great start to a universe. Feels like a Tales from the Darkside for a new generation. The art is PERFECT. It disturbs you with its subtlety.

Fantastic Series!
I don't know how I'm just finding out about this but, I'm so glad I have. Loving every page so far and can't wait for the next!

Dark and Creative
This series is phenomenal. It's as dark and sinister as a book gets but captivating. The creators play with the graphic novel art form in an interesting way that enhances the story and keeps the series from becoming stale. The latest issue is as fresh as the first.

I Sceeam,
Probably one of the creepiest comics I've read in a while. Stories are stand alone but with an intertwining thread. I can't wait for Volume 2!!

Excelente HQ de terror
Histórias excelentes! Gosto muito desse formato “antologia” em que a cada capítulo temos uma história de horror diferente tendo como ligação esse sorveteiro demoníaco. Recomendo bastante
