I recently purchased this portable transformer with the expectation that it would support a maximum load of 2000 watts, as advertised. However, upon receiving the product and consulting with the seller, I discovered that it can only support small electronics, despite the misleading 2000-watt claim. The advertisement for the portable transformer prominently features its 2000-watt capacity, leading consumers to believe that it can handle a wide range of electrical devices and appliances. This assertion was a significant factor in my decision to purchase the product, as I intended to use it for powering my portable vacuum cleaner, which operates at 110v 400 watts. Regrettably, the seller clarified that the transformer is not suitable for my device, mentioning its limitation to small electronics. While I acknowledge that I should have scrutinized the product details more carefully, I firmly believe that the advertising should have transparently and prominently highlighted its limitation more to prevent any misconceptions among potential buyers. The discrepancy between the advertised 2000-watt capability and the actual limitations of the product has led to a considerable inconvenience for me, as it does not meet my intended use. While the portable transformer may be suitable for certain gadgets, potential buyers should approach their purchase with caution and thoroughly review the product specifications before purchasing, as the advertised wattage capacity does not accurately represent its practical utility.

Just got back from Iceland and this converter/adapter worked great and came in very handy. I found all of this converter-adapter subject confusing when I was researching these so, I'm going to make this review descriptive, but simplified in language. I found that some of these devices are just an adapter, (from one shape of outlet prongs to another country's shaped outlet prongs), or just a converter (for the wattage). This device has both. For my US blow dryer, which uses a different wattage than Iceland, I flipped out the correct adapter(prongs) on the device for the Iceland outlet, plugged the device into their socket, turned the device switch to "converter" and then plugged my blow dryer into the device. Cell phones don't need a different wattage, so I could use this device just as an adapter, (prong shape), for my cell phone charger. I flipped out the correct Iceland prong adapter, left the wattage "converter" switch flipped off, and plugged my cell phone charger directly into the device. Of course it has adapters for other countries outlets also. It was very convenient, as I didn't have to take multiple devices on my trip. Great purchase!

I bought this for my trip to the UK from the US. It worked great and I like that it has multiple adapters for different countries. It’s not too large so I could easily make room in my suitcase for it. I used it for my hair tools and chargers and I have no complaints.
