Good and heavy
This turn table, banding wheel is so sturdy that it will hold whatever I want to put on it and still turn fluidly. Great lasting piece of equipment.

DON'T GET THIS IF YOU USE PORCELAIN
The acidity of porcelain and B mix cause the blue coating to flake off the top of these banding wheels after a couple of months. It is a real shame because otherwise there are incredible banding wheels. Their movement is flawless and they are heavy and sturdy to work on. I have contacted Shimpo directly and they have no solution. These banding wheels are to expensive to replace every few months but they contaminate your work with flakes of blue paint that coats the wheel as it chips off. Beware buying these if you use a high acid clay
