Vango Tyneham Tent, Vivid Grey, Size 500 [Amazon Exclusive]

I purchased the tent for me as it has good standing headroom throughout (bad back).When packed away it can easily be carried by one person.I have shared it with my wife and there’s plenty of room for two. We just had enough room in the living area for two of our grandchildren to eat in with us.The tent is easy to erect by two people and could probably be done by one given time and practice.There is plenty of ventilation and light and we had no condensation in the morning. It was dark enough for us to stay asleep at dawn.The sewn in ground sheet and mesh door were effective at keeping out insects.I’ve owned a few tents over the years and I believe this is a good example at a reasonable price.I’ve not tested the tent in heavy rain but would be prepared to use it quite happily.Recommended.

This was a fab tent for 3 people, easy to assemble and plenty of room. Fitted two double matresses in the bedroom part. The weather was heavy rain and blustery winds. But the tent stayed up well, was waterproof and our stuff never got wet. It has pockets in the bedroom department for storage. A little zip, to pop your electric hook up lead through on the side of tent, in front. Plenty of ventilation. However on the 3rd night it was warmer, with rain and wind and the tent got condensation in it. But not in the bedroom. Im 5ft5 and stood up, the roof of the tent touches my head. There is only a button that holds the ground sheet up to the front door flap in the middle. So you can get a bit of draught. But zipping up the bedroom, when going to bed at night; stops you feeling the draught. The tent was fab for a first time camping trip. 🙂

Easy to put up

I needed a bigger tent for casual camping trips that had space to allow us to sit inside if it was raining. I went away just last weekend for a long weekend.1. Easy enough to assemble by 1 person, i had it up and ready within 20 minutes and i am no expert and have trouble with my hands.2. Easily fit a double and a single air mattress with a dog basket and not be on top of each other. Would not like to see 5 people in there though.3. Easily withstood the recent rain and wind with no issues.4. Easy to take down and pack up, oversized bag is a nice plus.5. Did not wake up to massive amounts of condensation in bedroom pod or the main tent. Air circulation is very good.However, there are a few areas that could have been improved on.1. More hanging points inside of tent would have been useful. Could have placed lights / lanterns in various places or even some storage.2. The night mode rooms do not actually block out that much more light but still better than nothing.Overall i would not hesitate to buy this tent again.

In my opinion, this tent is easy to erect and put away. The storage bag has ample room. It can sleep five lying side to side in single bags but the sleeping compartment does not offer much room for anything else. I used it with my partner and a 3 year old. We could only fit a double mattress with room to stand/stoop and space for bags. The living area was cramped once we put in a 4ft table and 3 collapsible chairs. I would recommend this for 2 adults for a holiday tent as it would provide enough space. 5 people if it was used for sleeping only. It rained hard on the day we used it and it was excellent at providing a waterproof shelter with no leaks.

Having always had Vango tents throughout our 30+ years of camping we had expected the same level of workmanship in the Tyneham. How wrong we were. No pitching rings, front tension straps were stitched out of line resulting in being unable zip the door down, not helped by the fact that with no pitching rings the straps had to be twisted to use the pegs provided.

Easy to assemble and stood up to some strong winds on its first outing. Thankfully it didn't rain so can't comment on water resistance. Plenty of room and good height. Good value for money. Even my wife was happy and she is not generally keen on camping.

Very roomy easy to put up I had it up in 15 minutes. Sleeping area can accommodate 2 double camp mattresses easily. Tallest person in group was 5’9”” and they could stand up inside. Excellent tent for money.

Produit décevant acheté l'année dernière, la description mentionne une chambre équipée d'une toile filtrant la lumière du jour, il n'en est rien, la lumière passe à travers comme dans toutes les autres tentes, sinon elle est spacieuse, il faut être 2 pour la monter

Es muy facil de montar y si quieres mas espacio en las habitaciones, es perfecta. Un avance de 5m cuadrados. Necesitaba mas avance y menos habitacion. Buena calidad aunque nos llego defectuosa el suelo( algo que puede ser puntual). La devolvi.
