Not disappointed
I've been using those for over 6 months now on my one medium-small horse which I trim every 2-4 weeks (so don't need to take off a LOT of hoof wall at a time) and I have nothing bad to say about them. People who give those bad reviews forget how much "real" proffessional nippers cost. They do what they are supposed to just fine.

Great for the novice trimmer
These have narrow pinchers and you can be very accurate it your trim. They are made of high carbon steel, which is a good thing, but rust will appear. Just keep a light coat of vegetable oil on them when not in use and wipe clean when ready to use. Mine have served me well. Check out ELPO hoof mapping and videos on how to trim, on YouTube. You will avoid a lot of mistakes and do right by your horse or pony.

Not made for full sized horses.
I used, or tried to use these, just once and they would not cut my horses hooves. I guess they are truly made for just ponies, goats, etc. So now I don't know what to do............try to get a refund? I don't know how these things work. But I do know that I need a new pair of nippers and am wondering what the best kind would be. I have not had experience choosing the best hoof nipper for a reasonable price so need to learn alot about what I should look for.

Very well made.
I have small hands and this one fit me perfectly whereas longer ones are more difficult to use. Super sharp when they arrived so I could use them straight away instead of having to sharpen them first.

Not for hard horse hooves
The shorter handles are nice but decreases leverage. If your horse has hard dry hooves this is not the tool you want. It works on inside fronts where longer nippers rub the belly of shorter horses. Very difficult to make thin cuts, they slip. Would not buy again.

Disappointed
I researched for hours finding a good set of nippers and these are what I decided on. They are awesomely sharp but rusted within a day of use. They were not left out wet and none of my other tools rusted so I can only assume it is the nippers themselves. I am trying a distilled white vinegar bath for them and hopefully it works. Just honestly disappointed.

Easy To Use
Newbie at using nippers and boy were they easy to use!I am NOT a professional nor intend to use these in any sort of professional capacity. I got them so I can keep my animals hooves looking decent until I can get my farrier out.

Sharp
Nice and sharp but I should have gotten the 15 inch size
