Olfa 9150US SAC-1 Slimline Stainless Steel Graphics Knife, Silver - Packaging May Vary

Genuinely an excellent snap knife, its shocking to me how cheap this is, its barely 50% more than a garbage budget own brand model. This knife has 2 minor downsides, the blades are significantly more expensive than inferior models, although they are 30° not 45 (like most) and very sharp, at 10 individual blades for the pack that's sold separately though around the same price as the knife its still a reasonable price to pay. Second like pretty much all snap knives the blades are tricky to snap without using 2 pairs of pliers. I ruined 2 of the blade portions trying to snap it without pliers and ended up with like a ragged box at the end of the blade. Hold a pair of pliers behind the portion you want to snap, use another pair to bend that section and its quick and easy. I believe they sell a snap tool, if you're not comfortable doing the above that may be worth a look. The knife cut 0.6mm burl veneer with ease, absolutely no tear out. And that's a lot more difficult than it sounds, the few times I've needed to cut leather or cloth it's been effortless. It's also proved to be very good at marking dovetails, particularly the inside corners, which are a pain. If you're thinking if buying it just do, if you're not sure buy the refill pack once you are.

I bought this as I can't find my CK snap-off knife and needed to cut out some doll clothing patters. This seems to be even sharper than the Stanley blades i was previously using. The Stanley blades would sometimes drag the paper when starting the initial cut, but these blades just slice into it with no dragging. The narrower tip is really handy when you need to change angle as you can turn the paper while keeping the tip in the cut and it wont cause a crease like the 45o blades do. The knife isn't the comfiest to hold unfortunately as its kinda square and the ends are not rounded over. The belt clip also digs into my hand, so I have to remove it. Its not too bad if i hold it nearer the blade. Overall though its just a small niggle that i'm sure i'll get used to. It works great and feels like its built to last, so i'm happy with it.

Great little knife. I use a scalpel for making very small adjustments to wood stuff and having to change blades can be a pain when you've only worn out the very tip of the blade. This allows you to snap off the blade like other larger knives and get back to a cutting edge easily. The case/housing is brushed stainless steel so it'll last for ages and the blades are good quality. Blade extends with a click stop mechanism and you can have about 1mm of blade visible if you need to cut open a box or something. It looks a little flimsy until you come to use it and you realise it's actually really well engineered.

This product was recommended by a professional decorator and I am very pleased with it. The product is light, easy to hold and use, decorating blvery sharp and retarcts for safety.

It's my favourite craft knife out there. The steeply angles blades are excellent, it feels well put together and the edge retention of the blades is very good. I just wish the pocket clip that holds the slider in place had a retaining screw and wasn't held in by the friction from the spring-tension.

I'd bought this to cut out designs using 500gsm card for home made party invites. This graphics knife is very sharp, it cut through without much pressure and was easy to stay on track with my design layout. The results of the cut were satisfactory, very very minimal tear on the edges- very clean. I'd been using the blade a lot over a week until I needed to renew the blade using a pair of pliers presenting a new razor sharp blade. There's plenty of longevity I'm predicting based on my usage so far. The most import factor for buying this bade was for a clean-cut on 500gsm card, which it does. I'll defiantly be purchasing these again in future and recommend this product.

A number of reviews state that it's difficult to snap the blades and two pairs of pliers might be needed (with variable success). This is Japanese engineering - they're not going to forget anything. And they didn't. There is a snap tool in the clip at the end. Take it out and you'll see a narrow notch. Extend the worn blade until the snap line ends at the tip of the handle. Put the worn blade into the slot in the clip and snap. I've done this 100s of times without a problem.

Such a sleep and good quality item. Literally cuts like butter.
