As described...arrived on time...kids loved them...I use the theme decks as rewards for labor intensive chores and invididual cards for smaller rewards..and kids earn pokemon bucks to spend on amazon and ebay....this is our new commission structure and works great because it is something that all 3 of the kids love and enjoy and I am actually enjoying learning about the games, cards, characters, etc.....maybe I will have to start playing with them very soon! We spend a lot of money on pokemon with 3 active players/collectors and they are currently working to earn all of the theme decks and expansions......hey as long as it is working I will keep buying...not to mention this gets my kids reading...and the 11 year old does not like to read anything...but he reads his pokemon cards.....so definitely can see educational aspects and benefits to the game as well....A+++++

My son loved these sets! He is 8 and is obsessed with the Pokemon Trading Card Game. He is more about the game than collecting. These are perfect for that because each set alone can be used as a deck for the game. Since this comes with 2 sets, you can play the game 1-on-1 with someone right off the bat. They each come with directions and all the necessary bits needed to play the game. All of the cards are new and in mint condition. Since they are preformed decks made to help kids learn the game, they do contain a lot of double cards. Not every card is going to be different. I am really happy with this purchase and I think my son is even more so. I definitely recommend!

I was born in the early 80's, so I think I was a little old to really understood Pokemon. I bought these decks as a stocking stuffer for my wife because she knows their names. I've gotten her to play Hearthstone before, but this theme is probably more attractive to her. I must say, this is a really fun game. This includes everything you need to sit down and learn to play -- except instructions. We found a really good website that taught us what to do, and it was pretty easy to learn. I became a little frustrated that the reindeer pokemon (on the cover) is -20 resistant to the dragon pokemon (on the cover). It made the matches seem a little unfair at times. Maybe they're more balanced in other areas.

Comes with two individual pre-made decks. I purchased all three starter decks and these two "theme decks" for my daughters to compete against each other (and me) to learn the game. I planned on helping my 7 year old read the cards, so she could play, but she was determined to read them herself. I hadn't thought of Pokemon as educational until this. She now beats me at least 50% of the time.The Theme Decks start introducing more strategy into the game. I love these decks, because I lack the time and interest to build my own. My girls can tweak them with expansion packs when/if they have a mind to without having to start from scatch.Overall, a good, quality product.

I got these to hang on wall and to add decks to my collection binder. of course you must understand your only getting one holo and it's the one you see at front of deck. That is the only one so don't expect anymore. It's a play deck more then a collectors choice.

I got this for my son and I, who are both pokemon fans. The nice thing about buying two decks at once is that you can instantly play. The cards themselves are fine - new pokemon from X & Y are included, of course.

Quickly shipped and both boxes were in great condition when they arrived. As stated, these are theme decks, no booster packs, but that is exactly what I was looking for. My son isn't old enough to start creating his own decks, so these are a great way to start.
