Pressure Point Fighting Secrets of Ryukyu Kempo

Condensed version of all three previous books
This book is a rewrite and combination of Dillman's first three books with a few new techniques added, some additional info on stances, and elemental values. There is really not much new info if you own his other books however if you want one book by Dillman then this is the one to get. Not mind blowing fantastic but nothing is perfect. I have personally met and trained with Dillman a few times over the years so I advise to take most things published in this book with a grain of salt. As I wrote, nothing is perfect but still I would recommend this book to all traditional martial artists who often wonder about karate's strange katas and postures. This book can be a real eye opener but can also be considered riddled with oddities and hopelessly optimistic at times. Get a copy if you wish and make your own conclusions.

Pressure Point Fighting Techniques of RyuKyu Kempo
As a practicing martial artist (Taijiquan, Kyusho-Jitsu), I found this work to be marvelously informative and clear in its technical explanations; it would be a useful addition to the martial arts library of any practitioner. My personal outlook is that pressure point striking techniques constitute an excellent ancillary discipline that can enhance the effectiveness of just about any style of combatives. Obviously, this highly technical discipline, which requires considerable accuracy, is not for the dabbler or occasional practitioner; it is an art that should be reserved for the serious student of martial art. Considerable skill and a large dose of common sense are required in order for this specialty art to be street effective. Hitting pin point targets on a fully clothed and moving opponent during the adrenaline charged fog of a street altercation is not a skill set easily come by.

Awesome Book!
This is a fantastic source of information on pressure point fighting and the applications of movements found in martial arts forms of any style Okinawan, Japanese, Chinese or Korean. I have been studying korean martial arts for 25 years and have found application after application to my poomse (forms) in Master Dillmans books. I have also had the honor of training with master Dillman on one occasion and I can say form experience that he and his knowledge are true assets to the martial arts community. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in taking the practice of forms, kata, poomse what ever you call it to the next level.

Very interesting, but just a bit boring ...
I began reading a friend's copy and decided to purchase my own so that I could highlight the sections that I found particularly interesting and/or useful. Shortly after receiving own copy, I found the book beginning to get boring and have been unable to finish reading it.Because it was interesting and useful, and contains really awesome photos, I would have rated it 5 stars, but because it became boring and I lost interest in it, I deducted one star.

Grand Master Dillman is Incredible.
Technical execution and Illustrations are just perfect. Like the Lotus flower itself GM Dillman illustrates the many layers of Ryukyu Kempo. Pressure points are critical to an effective defense art. He has Mastered both the Technique as well as the structured joint manipulation points. Great job !!!! Master Dillman is truly that, A "Grand Master."

Good idea
Unnecessarily long book that comes to the conclusion, hit someone somewhere on the body and you will hit a pressure point. It did have good striking ideas for these points.

forget watered down karate do, learn karate jitsu
excelent book, the true karate in its original form, forget childrens karate do, this is the original karate jitsu, or ryukyu kempo this is how the original karate was designed as a lethal self defence art, not a watered down spiritual way with unrealistic self defence concepts done from exagerated long distences as in karate do,,,i advise practisioners of karate do to buy this book and learn karate jitsu ..how karate was meant to be ..........
