great resource
4.5/5 stars. This is a great resource for any first time mom who may not be feeling like her baseline in postpartum. Thereโs some valuable information in here to normalize the maternal response following the labor experience. This is a fantastic resource for therapists supporting individuals in postpartum. It has workbook like activities. Even if you donโt like to read, this book is great because it has many illustrations and is not dry. I would have gave it five stars if it did focus on the fact that it does get better. I wish it talked more on eventually feeling better physically, mentally and emotionally.

A Great Start
I skimmed this book first when my second child was a newborn, and fully read it now that he is six months old. I needed it - wish I had it - with my first child, and really, really needed it with my second. I was introduced to it by my therapist who had it in her office and would occasionally pick it up to show me a specific entry. There is nothing like feeling "seen" by something in a book and that is ultimately what is helpful about this book. The advice and exercises ultimately fell flat for me but the simple ability to see thoughts I had had written in the thought bubble of an imaginary woman - so helpful. It is short and a quick read, not really meant to be read cover to cover as much as picked up here and there for the section you need. I hope it expands to include other social situations, as well as PPD/PPA well past the newborn period. The babies pictured and referenced were generally newborns. I didn't realize I had PPD with my first until she was 8 months old

This book is amazing!
Iโm a doula and I have purchased several of these books. I give them away to clients after the birth of their baby. Itโs such a fun and encouraging way for new moms to realize they arenโt alone and their feelings are valid.

Brilliant for mummas and partners
I struggled with post pardum anxiety and depression after my first child, this book was recomended by my mental health team, it's brilliant. It is so relatable and makes you realise your not an awful mother or going bonkers, many mother's feel the same way and we should talk about it more! It has sections to write your thoughts and feelings and exercises to do to help with panic situations etc. Would recomend to every mum with or without mental health issues as its very insightful. Also good for partners to give it a read as well as it has sections in there for them and also helps your partners to understand what your going through mentally and what you need help with and how to help meet your needs

Waste of my money
It's a bad bad deal. I can't comment on the book because the Kindle format is extremely not readable and NOT KINDLE COMPATIBLE. The illustrations and writing do not fit page size of Kindle. Such a waste of my money on this. Please don't buy!!

Must-have for first-time mons and relatives
This book is such a wonderful must-have. It helps new moms and their families to understand and give support for a common postpartum distress in a very sensitive period of women's life. Quick reading and really helpful.

Made me feel much better
This book helped me so much. Written in an easy and fun format with lots of drawings, it covers many struggles that first time moms have. A straight forward read with good suggestions on how to cope with the huge array of emotions that come with being a first time parent. It helped me feel a lot more normal about what I was going through. After my son was born, I would lie and tell people I was doing great. It wasn't until after reading this book that I opened up in telling the truth in how I was really feeling, and just being honest and saying I was struggling opened my eyes to how many other moms went through the same feelings I had! It's normal to not feel good, and it's normal to go through dark times. I'm so grateful for the perspective this book gave me.
