John designed the very first Boosted board to get around his graduate school campus. His background in robotics was perfect for understanding how to combine modern motor and battery technology into a revolutionary drivetrain. And our team's passion for snowboarding, surfing, and kiting resulted in a board that was incredibly fun and engaging to ride. What differentiates your product from similar products out there? First, we use one of our favorite longboard setups. The Loaded Vanguard deck and Orangatang In Heat wheels, both made in southern California, are connected via Caliber trucks. The flexible bamboo deck allows for better carving and ride quality. Second, we have the best performance, with more torque and power in the Dual+ than any board ever made. Finally, we have a relentless commitment to quality, finish, and reliability, which shows in every beautiful board and the rigorous tests they undergo before they leave our California factory. Battery died at 45 miles, $425 to replace
I bought the first generation board from boosted brand new. I only rode it around my neighborhood a total of 45 mile. Over the winter it sat and in spring it had a flashing red light and wouldn’t charge. After troubleshooting with a tech they said to send it in. Shipping was about $70 and once received they said my battery was bad and out of warranty. Cost would be $425 to get it fixed. So I got a $1500 board and had to spend $500 after traveling 45 miles. Not cool.The board is fun though.

Kid with a new bike feeling
Do you know that sensation you have as a kid when you get a new bike, that you want to ride the whole day, you don't even want to sleep so you can ride more? This thing delivers the same sensation for a 30ish year old.It's beautifully designed and made to last - I live in Brazil so it has been taking some beating from our pavement - and provides a an indescribable sensation. Very happy to have one, and anxious to see technology development for the next versions.

Just do it.
I don't understand why the one person even rated this 4 stars. If you have a little extra cash to blow and are seriously considering a Boosted Board just make it easy on yourself and get one. I'm an avid board sports person and this thing is just incredible. My commute to work in small town Wisconsin is about 1.5 miles and I get there almost faster now (definitely more enjoyable) and what a way to start your day as well as end it with a night cruise. Great product that looks just as awesome as it performs.

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET...ALWAYS!!!
Wow, I have had a Yuneec Ego board since it came out, and that was after some extensive research and "test driving" several models including Fiik and Munkyboards. The Yuneec at the time had, and until now did have the best build, felt solid, wide base, carves well when dialed in. Now I'm a slightly heavier rider at about 185lbs. Combine that with my experience riding the e-boards, I ordered the Boosted Dual 2000W, I was like, "what!!!!2000w, mine only has 450w now. I contemplated, checked manufacture site, read 10k reviews. Mind you I'm not rich by means but I live in San Diego, and to carve the boardwalks at sunset is worth any price in the world. So after a month of hovering over the buy now button, I finally clicked it. I'm 36, turned instantly 10 waiting for Christmas morning cause I knew I was getting a new Redline bike. I laugh because this board cost more then my first car did!!!! It came a day early, Christmas never did that, and as soon as it was fully charged I was out the door, thinking I'm pretty good on these I bumped it up to pro, wheeled up the accelerator and I was off, literally about 10 feet in the air. This thing is a guided missile, once you learn its telemetry this and my "follow me quadcopters" are my proudest purchases, so take it from me as someone who always wants the best but usually listen to the logical side and will always buy a model near the top. You will not be satisfied with any other board if you ever ride this one, I kitesurf, snowboard, landboard, longboard and surf and trust me, now there is no "off-season." I'm going to go ride it now. My one and only sincere pierce of advise is don't EVER ride this skate without a helmet, even if its just down to check the mail. Yee-Haaw!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing product. Love it more than my Tesla
Amazing product. Love it more than my Tesla. I've been riding it almost every day for two months with almost zero problems. The only things that have gone wrong: belts are slipping in expert mode when I brake and the rubber cover where the charger inserts won't stay in place. Other than this, it's perfect.

I rode one for 2 minutes and fell in love.
My brother bought a boosted board a month or two ago. I wasn't interested in it because of the price, no way I was willing to drop that much money for a longboard. When I went out for a visit I rode it for 2 minutes on the streets of San Francisco, I was immediately sold and didn't care about the price anymore. I spent the next week or two doing some additional research on which model to buy, customer support, just overall the quality of the company as a whole.I settled on the dual+ :). I found that their customer support was above and beyond what you would expect, and I even discovered that they have a subreddit on reddit.com where a company representative is actively involved in the boosted community. You can find it at: http://www.reddit.com/r/boostedboards/I love my board and ride it nearly every day. The feeling of hauling ass uphill is just awesome. The stopping power is un imaginable for a motorized long board. You really can just feel it, it's not the kind of stopping power that will throw you off the board, but if you needed to stop quickly you would just feel the control and adapt accordingly. It charges in 1 hour to full capacity and you can get up to 7 miles of shredding power. Be ready for the looks of awe and amazement for everyone that you pass by, people are blown away when they see you going 15-20mph uphill on what looks to be a regular longboard.

Better Than You Can Even Imagine!
Got this for my husband for Christmas-- he said it is the best board/toy he's ever owned! Loves the speed, and feels ever safer than a regular skateboard b/c of the power of the remote control. VERY happy with this product!
