Roy Benson RBTR202G Bb Advanced Trumpet

Look, this is an inexpensive horn. I was not expecting stellar quality. It was purchased to leave at my out of state office so I had something to play and not have to drag my Martin Committee with me. That said, there are some basic problems with this horn.1) it is in my opinion that Every horn should come with some sort of valve oil. The valves on this trumpet stuck immediately after trying to use them.2) The setting of the valve caps and the threads is quite difficult. I spent 30 seconds just trying to get one of them lined up properly to thread it back on the valve casing.3) after a few minutes of playing I noticed that my right hand was getting wet. I could not figure out what was going on. After inspection, I discovered that the assembly of the lead pipe to the mouth peice receiver was not properly welded and there was enough gap to allow the spit to escape. Now that's just shorty work. I was able to quickly "patch" it with superglue. Not the best option, but it worked.The horn does sound ok.

Bought this trumpet for son after his Jean Paul had a damaged valve that could not be fixed. This item has worked excellent thus far, all be it new. Time will tell but what I can say is that it's easier to play than his previous trumpet and the sounds are so much warmer and lively. The part where u under your mouthpiece is very unique though I cannot quite explain it (see picture) and the bell(?) is a nice rose gold which they say is what makes the notes sound so good. It only comes with the trumpet, mouthpiece, and case which can be held in hand or backpack wise, so you may want to order a bottle of valve oil for later. Valves work smoothly and have not stuck once and it's an all around excellent instrument so far, I may give a follow up review in three months after his school Christmas concert which will be weeks on intense use and practice. So worth the money!!

I have had this Roy Benson TR 101 for a few weeks and am impressed with the basic construction and design and reliabilty,of course time will tell the final tale on how it endures. I have a video on you tube if people want to view that. Ok,so the valves work smoothly and the tuning slides have excellent pop on the compression checy. The design is very interesting with the tuning slide and the bow parts of different design than usual trumpets have. The response and sound are very smooth and this horn sounds more like a pro trumpet and also in that the bell is large enough to accomodate various size mutes easily. Some student type trumpets have a very thin bellflare that make it difficult to use certain mutes. This trumpet also responds very well to different mouthpieces, like the Bach 5V or the Bach Megatone 5 B. I am very pleased with this trumpet and would recommend it to student or pro.

I like the versatility of changing from B flat and C. Good sound and good workmanship. After 3 years, some minor flaws appeared but not terrible. :) cork from spit valve came loose. A weld separated slightly. Some valves stick if not maintained properly and often. I only play 2-3 times a week practicing and playing in a church worship team.First played coronet in 5th grade 1968. Stopped until 2012 when my son played in a school class. I've enjoyed playing again after so many years.

I bought this for my son. He had been playing a student horn but felt he wanted something a little more advanced. He likes this horn just fine.

Premetto che sono un neofita e ho cominciato da poco a prendere lezioni. Detto questo, la tromba mi piace, mi sembra ben costruita e anche intonata. Penso che come primo strumento possa essere ok come soluzione non troppo costosa. L'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è il bocchino che ho provveduto a sostituire con un Bach.EDIT:purtroppo devo rivedere la mia recensione iniziale, scritta troppo presto e sulla scia dell'entusiasmo per la mia prima tromba. Dopo circa due mesi di lezioni con un maestro, mi sono reso conto che lo strumento ha qualche problema di intonazione, ma va bene... Costa poco e ci si potrebbe passare pure sopra. Il guaio grosso è che, probabilmente a causa di difetti di fabbricazione, nel primo pistone dopo pochi minuti in cui si suona si forma una quantità di condensa ENORME che non è possibile drenare se non rimuovendo fisicamente il pistone o rimuovendo la relativa pompa. Ho provato per alcuni giorni una tromba da studio di altra marca (che poi ho acquistato e con cui mi trovo benissimo) e il problema non esiste minimamente, quindi è proprio un difetto dell'esemplare di Roy Benson in mio possesso.

Ottimo prodotto. É una tromba intermedia . Solida e ben rifinita ed ha un bel suono corposo ed intonazione ok. Buona per chi inizia ma anche per avere una seconda tromba di backup

Tiene un muy buen sonido, los émbolos no se peguan, las bombas muy suaves, llego antes de la fecha programada y muy bien protegida.

Starter-Set mit Koffer u Mundstück wie man es kennt. An der Trompete waren aber einige Herstellungsfehler erkennbar (Lötfehler denke ich). Typischer greller Ton.Wenn ich empfehlen darf:  fasch FST-636 C-Trompete Die kostet zwar bisschen mehr, ist aber um längen besser. Und ich habe einige ausprobiert... fasch FST-636 C-Trompete

Lieferung, Verpackung uns Aussehen super!Habe sie auch behalten! Allerdings finde ich die Ansprache und der Ton könnte besser sein !
