Drill AmericaKFD26J-SET 26 Piece Heavy Duty High Speed Steel Drill Bit Set (Sizes A - Z), KFD Series

After getting tired of cheap Chinese/Harbor Freight drill bits that can't even drill through pine and snapping like pretzels I decided to get some good old made in USA bits. Ignoring the negative reviews about the crappy metal case I ordered the set anyway. Pic 1 shows what I saw when 1st opened. After spending an hour or so rearranging the bits I found the hole for the #60 bit hadn't even been drilled(pic2). Another issue is that some of the bits are longer than their larger neighbors(pic3. I haven't used them yet so I hope I'm not in for a disappointment

I have used drills from this set several times now. They worked well & seem to be of excellent quality.There is every drill size you can think of in this set.I shouldn't have to buy many drills for a long long time.I would have given them 5 stars but when the set arrived several of the lift up sections had jumped out of their hinges.I think rough shipping & not enough packing may have caused this to happen in shipment.The box is fairly sturdy but with the weight of all of those drills they really need to pack it better to prevent this problem.With a bit of prying I was able to get them back in place on their hinges.I did a lot of comparison shopping before I bought this set.Overall, I don't think you can buy a better drill set for the price.

To be clear, this review is for the 13pc 1/16-1/4 inch set. Exceptional drills for the money, and the heavy steel Hout index is worth nearly what I paid for the set. Precise grinds and coating application across all 13 sizes. Edge retention is on par with what it should be for quality HSS. I estimate I could substitute a few of these into my MUCH more expensive 1/2-inch Norseman without it being evident, short of perhaps drilling hardened steel.

They’re a great set to have for general use. Not the beat drill bit set, but for everyday light duty jobs, they are perfect!

The case doesn’t match the pictures. The case received is poor quality compared to what is pictured. And it opens in a awkward way. Not sure how good the bits are. They seem fine but appear to be made in China based on the font Printed on the bits. No indication on the packaging what the country of origin is.

Hands down the best drill bits I have ever used. I primarily drill annealed Damascus steel and other metals, and these drill bits start fast and cut great. These may also be the most expensive set of drill bits that I have purchased but like they say cry once buy once.

A good all-purpose set of bits in a slim metal case that fits in my Nextec drill case with my drill, battery, charger and a B&D cordless driver and it's charger adapter and a few driver bits. No bulky plastic box that I have to struggle to get the bits out of. Too new to attest to durability but reviews are positive.

Great inexpensive drill bit set. I have good USA made drills and some cobalt drills. These are very nice HSS drills. Use them at proper slow speeds and use cutting oil and do not overheat them and they will last you for many holes. Also, get a drill doctor.

listed as being left hand drill bits they are not . They did come in a steel case and are lettered , did not use returned both orders as i wanted left hand drill bits for extraction of bolts
