a good option
I really like these... the flat wires DO help them not to tangle... Has a "universal" tip as most things do this day and age... worked with my brand new LG G4 cell, my old rotary dial IPOD and my Kindle 8" HDX. It comes with 4 (2 sets) of extra ear cushions. I feel that I have smallerish ears and I have a hard time finding earpods that are comfortable and will stay in. These work great. Comfortable and they have stayed in. Mind you, I am NOT jogging with them in. I only wish they'd come with a zipper case to hold them in for convenience. At the price point, you'd think they would. It does also have a microphone and I have "tested" that... worked. It has a little attachable pinch clip to keep in place as you move around. The foam tips are sort of like memory foam, but almost a bit softer really. I think this both helps them stay in AND retain comfort. The sound is very clean and clear - for an adult anyway. The tips are cornflower blue if that matters to anyone... I think the pic is very clear and representative. I will update if there are any issues.UPDATE: 6/29/2015 I have used these earbuds a number of times... one of the issues I have had in the past is that this "shape" of earbud doesn't want to stay in my ear... (tiny ears?) but these DO stay in.. I think it's the type of foam tip... seems to grip a bit better? To be fair, again, I am not jogging with them in... I am mostly in a sitting position using them. The "flat" wires really do help them not get all tangled... having stay that.. they also resist "wrapping" a bit too. This is probably good. Otherwise you'd break the wires inside. The kiss of death to any wired accessory. Also, I've been informed that these are going to start coming with carry cases!! Yup. That would make them 5 star in my humble opinion and I'm keeping them in my "save" pile for a possible second order.UPDATE 7/26/2015... Still happy with my purchase. I am informed by the seller that they are now including a case. This makes it definitely a 5-star value and worthy of a purchase. Will update if there any use/wear issues to report

Not good for riding in
Not good for mototcycle/helmet. While the foam tips are soft and cushy, the speaker part is so large that it sticks out too much. Perhaps that's because they tried to make the headphones "super bass"? The bass is higher than in other headphones but that comes at s price - it makes the sound dull and droning.The worst part is the "talk/skip" button. I think that's where the microphone is. The problem is that this button is so sensitive, that it is being depressed by the wind, pausing he playback of your music. That's very annoying, as you have to fiddle with it at high rates of speed (on a motorcycle) just to make it play again.Another flaw is the blue memory foam cushion. It deteriorates quickly. Perhaps that's why they supply 3 pairs of cushions in the box. I hope they keep supplying them after I'm through those 3 pairs...Again, this is a motorcycle riding (helmet) review.

I so wanted to find comfort...
I wouldn't say this is a horrible product, just very uncompatible with my ears. I so wanted to love it since I am perpetually trying to find the best and most comfortable set of earbuds for my ridiculously small ears. Had high hopes, with the reviews, so I took them out of the packaging, squeezed the "comfort foam" into my ear canals and within 5 minutes, my ears are super sore. Sound quality was decent, but the pain was just too distracting to enjoy. Also, I know it's not advertised, but not having a volume control on a smart mic was disappointing.Again, may not be the same experience for others, but for all the other wearers with smaller ear canals, definitely would not recommend. Going back to my "fruit company" earbuds.

Great Sound Quality, Comfort Was Only Average
I bought this item because I have the worst time finding earbuds to fit my ears comfortably. I have pretty small ears and it seems like any earbuds I try just hurt after a while (meaning after about an hour). I read the reviews on the AirBuds and had high hopes! Unfortunately, they weren't all quite what I was expecting.First of all, I received my box of AirBuds and it looked like there was a set of replacement foam tips missing. All of the images showed a set of foam tips on the actual earbuds themselves, as well as two replacement sets above the earbuds. Mine only came with the foam tips on the earbuds and one replacement set. Also, I noticed that the bottom of the box was sealed, but the top flap was not. It even looked like it had been opened before! When I opened the package only to find no instructions with it, I was somewhat disappointed.Going on to sound quality, I can't give these AirBuds any higher praises! I absolutely LOVE the sound quality!! They hit every note extremely well and clear. Everything from deep bass to extremely high tones come across with no distortion, and everything sounds so sharp and vivid! The foam tips make it so you don't have to turn up the volume as high as you would with other earbuds, and the music still comes across with just fantastic quality. I was extremely impressed.Now for the disappointing part... I bought these hoping that they would be above and beyond any other earbud when it comes to comfort. Pretty much all of the reviews stated that these earbuds were just insanely comfortable, and you could wear them for hours with pretty much no issues. This was not the case for me. I find them to be slightly uncomfortable, but no less comfortable than any other pair of earbuds I've owned. I was mostly disappointed because, from all the hype about how comfortable they are, I was sure that I had finally found a really comfortable set of earbuds for my small ears. Don't get me wrong, they aren't painfully uncomfortable by any means! I just find them to be nothing spectacular or insanely more comfortable for my small ears than any other earbuds.Oh and the smart mic? It takes some getting used to (i found the various controls for it to be touchy and hard to control at times when getting used to it) but now it's wonderful! I love how the smart mic works on practically any operating system, and it's so small it doesn't get in the way. It just stays out of the way, minding its own business. And the no tangle cord is really handy too. I've had no issues with binding/tangling.Overall, the AirBuds aren't as comfortable as I had hoped for, which was quite a disappointment. Despite the average comfort level, I immensely enjoy the usefulness of the smart mic, the hassle free no-tangle cord, and just adore the amazing sound quality!! I imagine if your ears are at least normal sized, these earbuds would do wonders for you! For those with noticeably smaller-than-average ears, don't expect these earbuds to be a world of difference when it comes to comfort. If I had normal sized ears, I would buy the AirBuds anytime without a doubt!
