Good, Inexpensive Tool
Just what I needed to knock open and close the spin-on plastic lid of my pool pump's strainer basket. At 8 ounces, it's the perfect weight and size. I've left it out in the open near the strainer basket and it seems none the worse for wear. Not bad for tapping closed the top on a can of paint, either. Seems reasonably solid and perfect for those small jobs that pop up every so often.

This mallet is great.
Works well especially with hammering in plastics anchors around the yard.

Works Great for Pounding Grommets
I use this to add grommets to corsets. After purchasing it, I found that I prefer fully-wooden mallets to rubber ones, but it still serves its purpose well. I appreciate the quality and the reasonable price. Great for what Iโm using it for. (That being said, if you want to add grommets to corsets in a more professional shop, you can always buy an air-pressure-powered industrial machine โ a little bigger than a shoe box, but upright โ that will cut the hole and press the grommets in for you. But if youโre like me and you only periodically make corsets, a mallet is a more practical option.)

Yep, It's A Mallet And I Love It
General Tech Intl 2258622 "Steelgrip" Rubber Mallet works just fine for me and I love it. I've put off buying one for way too long. Anytime I've needed a mallet I would fold several towel for padding and use it as a bit of a cushion so I didn't destroy whatever I was putting together with my hammer. So, I caved in and bought one. I read a few review that mention it stinks. Well, yes, it stinks because rubber stinks. Especially brand new rubber. I'm not going to be holding it under my nose day in and day out nor am I using it as product to make my home smell nice. It doesn't smell like teenage boy sneaker feet or like the cats' litter boxes when they need cleaned. Don't hold it up to your nose and you'll be fine. Any rubber mallet stinks when it's new. So do new tires for cars. Oh, yeah, they're rubber too. The striking surface is 2 inches across. That's plenty big for all the jobs I can imagine having. For the price I paid for this mallet and the quality of it, I'm more than satisfied. The weight isn't much at all so it is a very easy tool to use. I used it to put some wheels on an item that only came partially assembled, the reason I bought the mallet, and achieved the desired results. There are numerous tasks I do around the home and when out camping that the mallet will be the perfect tool for the job. A great addition to my tool box.

Great Value Rubber Mallet
I put together 5 shelving units with this mallet. You'd be surprise how easy those things are to put together with a rubber mallet. It's light weight (my 2 year old was helping me and had no problems hitting the shelves). No bells and whistles with this item. Just a good value tool to use around the house when called for. In the past week, I've used and abused this thing and it has held up. Definitely a great addition to my growing tool chest.

Good light weight rubber mallet
Good little pounder. It's in no way heavy duty, but for light tapping it works well. I don't think it will free up a rusty wheel, but it will for sure tap the hub cap back on.

You get what you pay for
Very good price for a light mallet. that being said you get what you pay for, the mallet head does not sit square on the handle and there seems to be some splitting on the center of the mallet. it is holding up fine for now for the light use i put it to.

Perfect
The hammer is just perfect. It's small so the usage is as such. The compact size can do most things as the lightweight allows for more speed. This mallet is used for hammering not necessarily as applicable like a hammer. The small size allows for elderly or weaker women to swing around comfortably as the hammer is a bit more intimidating for folks like my mom. I just need to conceal it so my mom doesn't smack me with it.
