Surprisingly good.
Bought these to replace BB5 calipers and what a difference. Powerful and good control with the bonus of pistons which allign with the disc. Easy to fit and look good.

A good alternative for where full hydraulic brake lines can't be used.
I used these as an upgrade on a converted electric bike, the bike originally had a front mechanical disc and rear linear pull rim brakes (an older budget mountain bike). I used an adaptor plate to fit the rear caliper to the bike frame.Due to the electric conversion kit I fitted, I could not use a full hydraulic brake system as the cable brake handles are used to cut power to the motor (safety feature), and I had also fitted a brake light switch to the brake cables so I could run a bright LED motorbike brake light (extra safety against car drivers not paying attention). So I had to keep the existing brake levers and cable setup, but definitely needed more stopping power due to the faster speeds and heavier bike (batteries + motor kit). These calipers are a good compromise between the two brake system types, while there is still some "lag" in the cable as it stretches under use (as in a mechanical setup), the caliper is more responsive than a full mechanical one. The force applied by the caliper is also better than that of a pure mechanical setup. Stopping power is better, but does not tend to snatch at the disc under heavy braking like hydraulic systems do. As a result there is less of a learning curve than with a full hydraulic setup.Fitment was as easy as replacing a standard mechanical caliper, and the calipers come fitted with resin brake pads, so once installed they are ready to go.Zoom is a budget brand that does actually make a few decent quality parts, and these cable actuated hydraulic brakes seem to be one of them. If you have a bike with cheap / no name budget mechanical disc brakes or can convert from rim brakes, you could do a lot worse than to replace them with these Zoom calipers. I'm very happy with mine.

Great breaking and easy to fit
I bought these to replace a standard set on a hybrid road/trail bike. Packaging was robust and just the right amount. Some minor assembly was required for each set which was made slightly more difficult due to the lack of any instructions, having said that it was fairly easy to work out. Only thing to take care of when fitting is do not pull the leaver once the 'yellow spacer' has been removed unless you have the disc in place, otherwise you will loose the fluid and have a real problem to solve. Once fitted a quick test shows them to be excellent at slowing and stopping and I now have to take care not to skid when breaking. I'm about to order another set for other bikes in the family.

Very impressive
Super fast delivery so easy to fit and a massive improvement on the standard brakes that came with my ebike. Very impressed with the stopping power of these calipers. No need to shell out a fortune for full hydraulic conversion these are all you need. Cant comment on the durability yet but just did the first test ride of 12 miles and couldn't fault them.

Simple solution to a problem and works great
Really impressed with this kit, simple solution to improve on mechanical brakes needing sensors for ebike. For me they came with everything I needed, didn’t need to use my old adaptors, screws were already coated with lock tight. All pretty easy to fit. I decided to add new discs and cable wires which on an ebike can be a pain but the callipers themselves were a joy. Once on I try to bed them in with light use, the front was perfect but I did have a little squeal from the rear but only on light braking. The stopping power was much better then my old mech brakes and felt smoother too. My only complaint was that these did not come with any instructions, but plenty of videos out there, and regardless I would highly recommend, especially if upgrading ebikes and keeping the handles.
