Very useful product if ur baby is sleeping in another room, worth every penny.

Please don't buy such an expensive unit It doesn't work without a Ni-Mh battery. Tried without it and it keeps blinking a red light and doesn't connect with the child unit. The unit came without a battery and the battery needed for it is very difficult to find and expensive too. Please also note the connector attachment. It's been a month and I haven't been able to make it work because I wasn't able to obtain such a battery. I wish the company could give us units which work with easily obtainable rechargeable batteries or without them. Updated: I ordered these to overcome the above problem. It's an expensive solution...so you guys can try if you want. The adapters I have noticed only support till 120v which is less if you are from India. So I bought two of these adapters for the child and parent unit: Omron AC Adapter for Omron Blood Pressure Monitors - 240 Volts https://amzn.eu/d/3o7vD6v They are from a good company and supply DC 6V and support upto 700mah (the parent unit only needs 400mah) and the best part is they can take power till 240v. The other thing I bought was batteries....they didn't come with the unit so bought new ones which came in a combo pack of 5, had favourable reviews, but were expensive. No disturbance and static at all. With full battery it was told that they would work for 8hrs...so will need to check that out. I couldn't give it 5 stars because of all the hassle and the additional expense it took to make these work. But these are great for a parent....so I recommend it.

All the good reviews I see are from outside India. Wish I noticed the pattern before purchasing. The connection is very loose. The pin is not compatible to India sockets. Works with converter but only switches on. Keeps blinking and beeping, but the parent and baby unit doesn’t stay. We bought this basis the reviews. I wanted a simple Audio monitor to hear my baby cry while still be able to close the door of her room, so that she doesn’t wake up from the noise outside. It’s pretty basic and V-tech seemed to be highly rated. Was absolutely disappointed. The set up is not that simple. Needed battery fixing and all. But all that is fine, if it worked fine once it got fixed. But it simply wouldn’t connect and once every few minutes it would connect for a few seconds and then it would disconnect. When it comes to baby, accuracy and quality is of primary importance and if it keeps disconnecting, then it’s pointless.

the cords that comes along with this is of very poor quality.. out of the 2 cords.. one stopped working within a month and the 2 nd one stopped working in next 3-4 months.. had to buy new ones..

Been a few months since I purchased this. The range is fine, links through two rooms away approx 30 feet with 3/4 walls. No disturbance and sensitive with a light meter. Has a talk button from two way communication. Need to power baby unit but parent unit works on battery. Takes a while to charge and lithium battery doesn't hold a long back up. But the best option available at the price point. Would highly recommend it, very useful device for parents. Shipped from the US.

The product was sent with damaged box so replaced it but then the replacement product was also sent with same issue that is used product and damaged box. The product doesnt charge or work and is waste of time and money.

Pre-owned product with scratches and damaged packaging was sold as new. Product comes with US plugs that can only take 120V. Outlet adapters alone won’t be enough and will result in the plug burning out.

Solo le veo dos inconvenientes 1. Es que las instrucciones están en inglés Lo que puede dificultar un poco el manejo a algunos papas 2. la duración de la batería del portátil que es aproximadamente de 3 a 4 h aproximadamente Fuera de eso lo recomiendo mucho

We use to monitor bedridden elder who stays in room on other side of house (not huge house but thick plaster walls). Set up was effortless: the units connected automatically as soon as powered on. Sound quality is very good. Volume and sensitivity is adjustable: I can hear the bedridden one breathing, but if say, you take it to the bathroom to be SURE to be able to hear the distressed calls from the bedridden one that are SURE to arise as soon as you seat yourself - but then LEAVE the it in the bathroom and return to your another room, even at its loudest setting, you probably won't be able to hear it from the bathroom or wherever you took it. I don't count that as a fault of the product if I've moved it down and around the corner to another room and left it there, but it would be convenient to be able to add another Parent/Listening Unit so as to be able to leave one in place, and have another to walk around with (with the convenient belt clip), or to station in the bathroom or whatever other room. And while my Bluetooth headset will frequently disconnect from my cell phone if I go any distance in this thick-walled house, this Parent and Baby unit stay connected, even if I carry the PU with me across the street to the neighbor's back yard. This product does everything promised and is perfect for our purposes, though it would be a huge convenience to be able to add an extra PU after purchase, which the manufacturer says is not possible, so if you went/need 2 listening / Parental Units, you have to buy a set that comes with the Baby Unit and TWO Parent units to begin with. It's not much more expensive and would have prevented several incidents where the bedridden one was highly distressed at getting no response - and delayed response resulted in a urine-soaked person and bed to clean up. Would have definitely been worth the few extra dollars to prevent that situation, but this unit delivers all that it promises and I thought good battery life off the charger (though maybe not as much as promised - I'd have to check on that).
