Velox Fond De Jante Rimstrip One Color, 17mm

Velox tape is now on my must-have list of things to add to any bike I buy. The wheels on my bike came with a yellow plastic band that might as well have been saran wrap. Under pressure, it pushed right up into the spoke ends, and I got flats with the puncture on the inner side of the tube!The Velox tape is a very strong woven ribbon, with exactly the right amount of adhesive that keeps it in place, but allowed me to pull it up and reposition it when I didn't center it correctly on the first attempt.

There isn't really much to say here. This stuff was really easy to apply to the rim, and you can tell it will be amazing, at least for me. I ride my bike every now and then, maybe twice a week, and I use to have a problem with the spoke ends rubbing and puncturing the inside of my tire, so if you have a similar issue, and rather than buying a whole new rim, totally worth the investment. You won't regret it, and I would buy again.

Rim tape is something you don't think about and, if you're lucky, something that you don't even see all that often. But if it fails, you are going to be walking home. Velox tape is something I've been using for more than 20 years, and it works perfectly. Unlike some other rim strips, it never slips and it never wears out. If you don't already have Velox between your rim and your inner tube, either make certain you're riding tubular tires or buy this and install it. You will never regret it.

This is a MUST have for any serious road bike rider. I have been getting nipple punctures on my inner tubes over and over and have tried possibly every type of rubber rim tapes ... to no avail. Then I got a pair of this last year, and WOW!!! Not a single inner side puncture since, and I can now happily crank up to 115psi without worry about tube nipples.Very, very highly recommend!!!

would have liked it to be a little more sticky. burned through one trying to get a feel for it. eventually got the tape on and it seems to be holding up (only rode 50mi so far)

Ordered 2 of these to finish a Surly Ogre build I am anxious to finish. This seemed like the best tape to use... So got it pretty fast... but only 1. Contacted the seller who said sorry, will send out another... and now several weeks later still waiting... and waiting. So I ordered some schwalbe rim tape instead.. from a different company. So if you order from GREEN CANYON OUTFITTERS, be aware that you might not get what you ordered, and you might wait a while for them to fix it... if they ever do.

Had one of these strips in my commuting bike for over a year. Replaced a plastic strip style of tape that was giving me flats from the spoke holes. Problem stopped immediately after installing these.

Worked as a charm, really easy to install and sticks really well. Protect your inner tubes with this.

This is clearly advertised as 9/16". When it came it was labelled 13mm. How can you label something SO incorrectly?? It isn't even the nearest imperial approximation!! That would be 1/2". 9/16" would be a really useful size between 13 and 16 and I thought I'd found it- WRONG. Unacceptably incorrect labeling.
