'Blue salvation' Color mis-represented
Before posting about the actual fit, I would like to warn that the color is waaaay off for the 'blue salvation' color. Based on the screen image on my laptop and my iPad, I thought the color would be a bit lighter. It is much closer to a medium denim blue (on the lighter side of medium, but solidly 'medium'-toned). I was hoping that they would be similar to the color of my old Levi's 545 fit (bring that style back, please!), but they are not anywhere near as light in color as the image shows. That being said, I do like the fit of these jeans. I still have a couple pairs of 545s in my regular rotation that are on the way out, so I've been looking for a replacement pair. These, sadly, are not quite it. First off, the waist is about a half-inch higher than is my ideal. It's still a good inch below my belly button, but I like them closer to 1.5-2 inches below. Not 80's jeans (thank god, and yes I'm old enough to remember), but also not the ridiculously super low waist that gives you immediate muffin-top. For size comparisons, I'm 5'6" and weigh around 155-160. I'm very much hourglass-shaped,so the weight is evenly distributed and I don't 'look' 160 (I get raised eyebrows often in the military when I let on my weight, or get weighed for the APFT). The size 10 fits perfectly. One thing I have noticed about the newer Levi's is the material is thinner than it used to be, and they are more likely to sag by the end of the day. Also, the pockets on these are a little wider apart than is ideal for my butt. As I said, I'm curvy and my butt can either look pleasingly-sized or unattractively large based on pocket placement. For those that are like me and have better luck with pockets placed closer together (so as not to accentuate width), you may want to look elsewhere. These aren't terrible, but they're not my favorite for the rear-view. I hope that this helps someone out there. Due to the sheer volume of reviews on this style I'm not sure how much it will be seen, but I know how difficult it is to purchase jeans online. Oh, and if anyone knows of good alternatives to the old 545, please let me know in a comment/reply. I've tried a few of the Levi's cuts, but none seem to fit the bill. As long as Guess keeps making the Daredevil style, I'll have my other favorite fit, but I have a bad streak of having my favorite styles in clothing and beauty products getting discontinued. Thanks for reading!

DON'T BUY! THESE ARE A KNOCK OFF!
THESE ARE A KNOCK OFF! Do not buy! Shame on you whoever sells these as Levis. I bought 2 pairs in 2 different sizes. The 1st came with the "Levis Strauss & Co." brown patch attached to the waist & a "red" Levi tag on the side of the pocket. The 2nd came with the brown patch, but no "Levi's & Strauss Co." on the patch. And the "red" Levi tag was a "burnt orange". I even questioned if the 1st jeans were Levis. Not the Levi material I remembered from the past, these are so thin. But even the though the jeans were ordered in 2 different sizes, even the material is different on each. I will be returning them a.s.a.p. So Disappointed these are even allowed to be sold as Levis.

Still the Levi's I love but a different fit from Levi's I purchase locally.
So I have worn Levi's exclusively for at least 10 years. The fit, colors, and lengths are perfect for me (5'7, 150 pounds, a bit curvy in the hip and bottom but nothing crazy) and they last for years. I have recently relegated a pair to cut offs that I bought 6 years ago. But for the past year I had stopped buying them (I get them at Kohl's mostly because of the sales) because they had revamped the line and I didn't care for the new materials and the sizing was off (going from a 9 to an 11 and losing length choices). So I decided to peruse the women's variety the other day and found that the 8/29 size fit me great for the 515. The length was perfect but the store didn't have any selection due to being picked over for back to school so I turned to Amazon, my savior for shopping. I bought these in the exact same size and length just a different wash as my Kohl's purchase and received them. I eagerly threw them on and I was surprised! They are a bit more snug then the other pair I had just purchased. Why? Well, Kohl's Levi's were made in China and Amazon Levi's were made in Pakistan. Maybe this is why? The back tags are also completely different, with Kohl's being minimalistic and Amazon being more traditional. So perhaps it's the difference in washes? The fabrics feel nearly identical they're just dyed differently.Anywho, while I still love them and they will fit me fine for the future beware. The sizing may be different then what you purchase at a local store!Tabby

Not sure if genuine Levi's
The fit of the jeans were ok, however, I'm not sure if I received a pair of "REAL" Levi's jeans. I chose the 515 boot cut style specifically because I've had a pair in my closest that were my favorite for years and wanted a new color. Well, when I received the new pair today, I was disappointed. The material wasn't the same denim as the other pair, the red tag on the back pocket doesn't say "Levi's", the leather stamp doesn't read their logo, even the inner tags and button are different from my old pair. I'm going to keep this pair but for the money, next time, I'll just go to the mall. I've included some pictures. The darker jeans are the new pair & the lighter jeans are the older pair. I put side to side pictures for comparison.

Budget priced and comfortable
I've purchased a total of 4 pairs of the Levi's Women's 515 Bootcut Jeans in the past two years and I've found that while they are very comfortable, the sizing (length) is inconsistent. I have a 32" waist with 39" hips and order a size 10 which fits just great. My inseam is 30" and this most recent pair has shrunk up so much that I almost feel foolish wearing them except around the house.I like how the jeans have some give to them for my 'fluffy' days. I also like how they wash well; color retention is very good after several washings and they are soft - not stiff from the start. Very comfortable and easy to dress up or down. What I don't like is not being able to count on the fit being consistent despite the sizing. After this last pair shrinking up so much I'm hesitant to buy more, but I really do think that it was probably just a bad batch of fabric versus the style as the other three pairs did not shrink up the way the last one did.If you have curves and wear women's clothing, not junior sizes, I would recommend these to you. They are very forgiving and comfortable.

Too big...too much spandex!
Purchased in late June, yet did not have the opportunity to wear until the weather got cooler this week (September). I am a size 6 and ordered a size 6.

Jean material is thicker than many other brands and doesn't look so wrinkled as many others. Fit is relaxed but still shows figure.
