Good for doors!
I moved into a new condo that had a security system already installed. Unfortunately, a lot of the Honeywell 5816 transmitters on windows and doors were missing magnets, so they were constantly faulted when I turned the system on. I bought these magnets to replace missing ones. They worked great for doors, but not all windows. They were too big for my double hung windows. I'll post a product pic so you can see what I mean. I needed a Honeywell Ademco 5899B magnet for the windows. That's a similar magnet to this one, only smaller. I do recommend the smaller ones over these bigger ones. It's a better bet that they'll fit where you need them to fit! Also, you may want to shop around for a better price for this product. When I bought it a couple months ago, the pack of 4 was just under $15. Now it's almost $20. I'm giving the product 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to with no issues. Make sure you check size first though, and go for the 5899B if you need to.

Works for Ooma door/window sensors
I had to use the spacers, sometimes two of them, to make this work with my Ooma door/window sensors. Once I ran out of spacers, I made my own using a 1/2" square dowel. You want to make sure that you make the magnet on the same level of the door/window sensor.

Ademco magnet and base, 4 units
There are 4 magnets and bases with screws and double sided tape. Exactly what my ADT sending unit needed. Price was reasonable, shipping was fast and I had them in a few days. No false alarms so far, I'm pleased.

Using as a second sensor on some windows
These work great with our Honeywell security system. I got several to place in some of our windows as a second sensor so that we can leave the window open a bit and still be able to arm the alarm.

Handy spare magnets for reed door/window sensor
These magnets and spacers are the exact same as the ones you get with a Honeywell 5816 Wireless Transmitter .Screws are included, as are spacers for each magnet. These things come in handy when you mount one of your magnets to a door or mechanism that moves in such a way as to completely destroy the magnet you just mounted. Always make sure you put the magnet in a place that has enough clearance throughout your door or window's full range of motion to prevent the magnet from being smashed! My only complaint is the price. I know these are a bit of a specialty item, but anything more than $10 seems excessive. Oh well.

A simple fix for home security to avoid a costly service charge
I was looking for a replacement magnet for one of my ADT installed wireless sensors which fell off and was lost. I bought these magnets on Amazon to avoid a large service charge for a very simple fix. These magnets were just the trick and worked perfectly. Of course you need to match your wireless sensor to the magnets so do a little homework.
