Volkswagen Coil Spring - 1K0-511-115BG

Installed on 2012 Volkswagens Passat S at driver's side rear. Oem with same color marks on it as stock and as Rear Passenger side. Reused upper and lower cups after washing the rust off them from my previous spring. Only needed to remove a 19mm bolt and nut from lower arm to get it out. Go slow. It's recommended you replace the bolt and nut but I didn't. Lining up the arm with the knuckle took some time when I jacked the arm back up. 1 hour job if you know what to do... Took me two. Don't bother with a spring compressor unless you have the vw specific tool.

The coils worked perfectly with my 2014 VW Jetta TDI. They were not difficult to install and are working great. They were about 2/3 the price of the dealership, and it only took a few days for them to come in. Great product.To help take off the old coils, and put in the new, use compressors, and an additional jack to compress the springs on the axle while the tires are off and the car is jacked up. This will make it easier to take the compressors off. Make sure you pay attention to how to put the springs back on compared to the old ones. I believe there is a "right side up."

Was super easy to install. It came in great condition without any kind of damage. If you want to fix your coil spring look up a YouTube video. It’s super easy and instead of spending $1000+ on a shop to do it you can spend around $150
