Great for .357s
I bought one about a year ago and had major issues installing the first one on my Taurus 605 with the factory roll pin. I ended up stretching it too much trying to fit it over that factory roll pin and just threw it in the trash. Then I read through some reviews here for advice and decided to order another grip along with a more appropriately sized replacement roll pin with the recommended shorter 1/2" length. Turns out this time Hogue included a proper-sized roll pin in the box taped to the back so it doesn't get lost. The grips fit perfectly with that pin. But for those who lost their pin or didn't get one, 420 Stainless Steel Spring Pin, Plain Finish, 1/8" Nominal Diameter, 1/2" Length (Pack of 100) is the exact same size pin as the one Hogue includes in their kit. This grip is NOT meant to install over the long roll pin that's included inside the newer factory Taurus grips, there is absolutely no way for it to fit without major forcing and possibly shaving out some grip material, it's not supposed to be that difficult, just get the properly sized pin, line it up, and then it goes on no problem. Don't overtighten the bottom screw either, it throws the grips slightly out of alignment along the frame, plus the screw has a tendency to slowly walk out over time anyway when firing/dryfiring. Instead, put some blue threadlocker on it and just tighten the screw to the point where the grip is aligned seamlessly with the frame. As for function, I never tried the factory 605 grips but when firing .38s it's about as comfortable to shoot as my dad's 6" S&W 686 with .38s although there's inevitably a little more muzzle rise with the reduced weight of the 2" barrel on the 605. .38 +P has a little more oomph but still not bad, so these grips would probably be absolutely perfect on an 85 if that's what you've got. I also tried some 125 grain .357s and although I could feel it in my wrist a bit, my hand felt fine which I think means the grips did well. The muzzle rise was a bit high but I think it would've been worse with the factory grips where your pinky isn't making full contact like this grip does. It starts to get a little bit painful after 25 rounds of 125 grain .357 but honestly the concussive blast from a .357 coming out of a 2" barrel is worse to me than whatever wrist pain I'm getting when firing them. I would still like to try some 158s just to see how bad they are, I've heard they pack quite the wallop when fired from such a small gun. Speedloaders actually fit and work fairly well now with the Hogue grip, the thumb shelf on the factory grip made them impossible to use before.

Good upgrade for Taurus 327 Federal Revolver
I wanted to replace the wood grips that came with the gun, a Taurus 327 Federal 2", because they were too thin and had no texture. These were a perfect fit that only took minutes to install. Very comfortable grip that makes the gun balance much better with just the right amount of texture.

Better accuracy for Taurus model 85
Gun: Taurus model 85 Ultralight in .38 specialThe original grips that came with my gun stopped at the end of the short squared off grip frame leaving my pinky finger free causing the gun to feel somewhat out of control especially when firing +P ammo. This new grip mounts firmly to my revolver adding enough lower grip to accommodate all fingers. The feel of the weapon has totally changed vastly improving my accuracy and recoil recovery. My shot grouping is much tighter and the gun comes onto target faster and in a better line with my forearm. It also seems to sit a little lower in my hand which entirely changes the recoil dynamic for the better and further improves aim. It really does feel like a new gun in my hand and has, at least temporarily, cured my Jones to buy a another new gun this summer... not bad for $20.I should note that I have what some people may consider small hands (short fingers too) and this grip exposes the back of the grip frame removing some bulk from the palm of the shooting hand. The original grips wrapped the frame causing the distance from palm to trigger to be greater than it is with the new grips. For me that seems to work however if you have really long fingers you may not like this grip as my wife with her elegant long lady fingers does not like the feel at all. That having been said for $20 bucks its worth the risk as I like many shooters, have a closet full of holsters and other gun attachments I have bought over the years that just didn't quite work for me...Bottom line: Good grips, good firm fit, much improved hand feel, still easily concealable, good price, BUY EM!

Good product
Fits like a glove. Perfect upgrade for my 856. I recommend if you’re considering changing the hand grip. Inexpensive and good quality. Oh and it is rubber not plastic.

Works great, tough to install
First of all, it all worked out and the thing looks and feels great, but I had a tough time installing on an 605 even when following along with a YouTube video. After about 10 minutes of trying to bang the pin out, I regretted not sticking with the stock grip. The pin was so tight I thought I had damaged the pin and jammed it irrevocably into the hole.Turns out you just have to keep banging and disregard any potential damage to your new gun. I banged so hard, The cylinder latch fell off and had to be reinstalled. (Simple screw tightening) I’m sure you can all do better, but for my part it was not near as easy as the reviews make it out to be.Now for the grip: It’s great! It seats perfectly with no gaps. It does what I wanted it to do, extending the stock grip so I can now get my pinky wrapped around. (Big hands) The grip itself is no big improvement over the stock, but it does feel robust and grippy. Would recommend, but be aware of the install.
