This product works very well! You can see the "before" and "after" images of our conference room wall, which had an existing section painted with dry-erase whiteboard paint (from before we took possession of the space). We prepped, sanded, primed and painted the wall a bright white. After 24 hours of time for the paint to dry the "clear coat" SMARK dry-erase paint was applied. It's easy to use and the kit has everything you need. A word of caution ... the fumes are intense and gave me a splitting headache, which I almost never get from paint or other fumes. However, the headache was short lived and the wall turned out perfectly. After waiting the recommended 7 days for the product to "cure" we tested it. The dry-erase markers wipe right off with no residue. If you have any doubts about whether or not this product will work, rest assured it works as advertised! I highly recommend!

This is the go-to brand for whiteboard paint, and it performs really well. That said, the key to success is the surface you apply it to. On a perfectly flat surface, it works as well as, if not better than, a traditional whiteboard. However, textured walls can cause marker residue to stick, leading to shadowing. Regular use of whiteboard cleaner solves this, but smoother surfaces make maintenance much easier. Even on less-than-perfect walls, it still works well and does what it’s supposed to. If you can smooth the surface beforehand, it’s worth the extra effort. I recommend it for classrooms, offices, or anywhere you need a large, writable surface.
