Lindy Fishermans Series Drift Sock

I bought two of these for my 22' boat. Although the package says not to use them for trolling brakes, that's exactly what I do with them. I have a 260 hp I/O and the slowest I could troll was 2.5-3.0 mph. With both drift anchors deployed I am trolling at between 1.5 and 2.0 mph. Seem to be holding up fine. Easy to install and easy to dump.

Works great, takes up limited space in the boat. I used this on my 17ft Ranger in pretty windy conditions. I wanted to drift but not at the speed the 17mph winds were pushing me. Put drift sock in and I was creeping along the water at a snails pace.

It ripped at the seams where the tow lines attach. In two places. Amazon sending a replacement but I suspect based on other reviews that this may be a design defect.

I used these drift socks for salmon fishing for less than 30 days and both are falling apart. Very poor materials in my opinion.

Good product, but you need to buy extra floating Rope, small Float and quick release Clip for it to become usable.
