This is the best study Bible I have ever had, I love it.
This study bible I purchased a while ago but I am just now getting around to using it (my bad). I have to say it really does have a lot of information that is really very interesting. I tend to have a very, very low bordem threshold, I mean sort of like a 4 year old it feels like some days, sad, which is why I purchased this bible to help me become more inthralled with learning about the "whole" picture, not just in chapters. I will say that so far it is doing so. I am reading the study bible in the form of EPOCHs I can't explain this to you but it begins with Genisus and will end with the End times. There are a lot of notes telling me about the towns and citys that developed by the tribes and where the children of the tribes went. For me this is really fun I have always loved history so I am able to not just learn about the bible but I am able to relate it more easily with the reality of the cities from history and some of the cities that still exist, I am talking of the very ancient cities in the days of Noah and his sons. I have found this something that I have already know but it is building upon that knowledge and that is what I wanted. No matter how hard I have tried there are certain books Old Testamen of the bible I have just not been able to read, they put me to sleep. Where other people find comfort I get bored. My brain is weird. Perhaps I have finally find the bible that will give me the history with the Psalms so that I can finally read them and not fall asleep.I would definely suggest this study bible to others and have already done so. This is a great teach and learning tool. It is easy to read, easy to follow and offers different ways to study not just the EPOCHS. When I am done with the EPOCHS I will most certaing find myself doing more studies from this wonderful eBook. I actually think I will be purcahasing the hardcopy as well, I don't have to worry about a battery with that and I can look at the beautiful maps as I am reading the ebook than. Just get the study bible it is very nice.

A useful way of reading
This is not my first reading of even my first time to read a chronological Bible. I chose this copy because of the notes that addressed chronological issues. I was not disappointed. For reading straight through as I did it is helpful that the notes are in line with the text rather than accessed via footnotes. The reader may occasionally view the placement as an awkward interruption of the text - something that does not happen in the print edition since the notes there are placed elsewhere on the page. Navigational aids are abundant, but I didn't make much use of them. I already owned the print edition when I purchased the Kindle version. While each has its advantages, the electronic version is my personal preference. I read this on the Fire HE because of the color content but don't feel I would have missed anything by reading on my paperwhite. The chronology is broken up into historical epochs, each with a very good summary introduction. These would be very good to go back and read again as a historical overview.

it's an excellent addition to my Bibles
I have used the Chronological Bible since it first came out. I use it in my personal devotions only. It is not practical to use in a Bible study or a church service if you know where all the books are located normally in most translations. But it is helpful in putting the actual books in the order it is felt they were written to be bale to keep track of events. Too, the notes presented throughtout are exceleent and aid in understanding of the customs, cultures, etc. of the times. This helps us to understand some passages of Scripture that it would be more difficult to explain. All in all, it's an excellent addition to my Bibles.I recommend it.

great historical references
I use this to teach a bible study. It has wonderful historical side notes which help to better understand what is being said. Used in conjunction with a few other bible versions, it's a great teaching aid. Also a good read in and of itself.

Great Read
Love the historical, archeological ties to the Bible. Definitely gives a different perspective and gives the reader a connection to the times/books of the scribes of God’s word.

Confirming Bible History
This is a great study Bible for anyone who is interested in the chronological history of the Bible. With the scriptures placed in the time frame in which they happened it becomes very easy to locate the stories and activities in secular history. Unless one has spent time comparing Bible History to Contemporary or Secular History they will continue to believe the lies that the Christian Bible is a book of myths, lies, and fairy tales. I have studied ancient history, archaeological findings, and ancient languages for over forty-five years and wish I had be able to access this study Bible early in my studies. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to better understand the history of the Jews and other ancient peoples!

The content is wonderful but if you are not used to reading a ...
I've only just started using it and it takes some getting used to. Very long explanations at first as to how to use it...several pages of introductions...but I think I will work it out. The content is wonderful but if you are not used to reading a Bible or a reference book on Kindle or an I pad it's not the same as a book where you can flick backwards and forwards. Not very user friendly or intuitive at first. I am sure it will be worth the effort in the end.

Excellent for comparing gospel texts.
Lots of good background detail for scripture but this is not user friendly for finding a passage. Bible knowledge is required to use this reference. It is definitely a resource and a good one. Very helpful in preparation for leading a study

Illogical chronology
I have only started reading the New Testament. The chronology of this Bible does not make any sense to me.For example: Page 1112 - Matthew's version of "Jesus calls His first disciples ", followed by 2 more pages of various events, then on page 1115, back to "Jesus calls His first disciples", Luke's version. It would have made more sense if they have grouped all similar events together, before moving along in the story. As it is, this particular style has the reader going back and forth, which is pretty disconcerting. It makes a nonsense of "chronology".Aside from that, the book itself is very beautiful. Good quality paper, no offensive smell.

Perfect book for Catechism
I am Catholic and this bible is more protestant but still great learning tool to understand the bible, secular history during the timeline of the bible, learn about Jewish customs etc... Would recommend for learning more about Jesus .

Well laid out in clear and easy to read print
Well laid out in clear and easy to read print, this Bible is a good accompaniment to other sources. Pages are not too thin so that they can easily be flicked over and the coloured illustrations are a charming addition. There are some useful additional historical tables and an index at the back so that it is easy to find books and part books that are not in the usual place due to their being written a a different time.Well worth the money, a first rate product arriving on time and well packaged.
